This last week the FDA approved a drug that will induce a miscarriage in a pregnant woman. I thought that the FDA was set up so that we wouldn't have any drugs on the market that will harm a person. Of course the definition of a person has changed in the last few years. Evidently, we aren't alive until we are born. Never mind that both a fetus and an embryo match the definition of a living thing. The idea of deliberately inducing a miscarriage seems proposterous. Why would any woman want to do that? You would have to be one seriously sick individual to want to murder your child. Audrey Iocona sits in jail today because her baby died shortly after birth, and she did nothing to help it survive. If she had only induced a miscarriage a few months earlier, it would have been perfectly legal. If she would have thought nine months earlier and not had sex then the whole messy problem would never have existed. Unfortunately, abortion has become an after thought to sex. "I will have the fun now and worry about the responsibility later." This follows the feelings of invincibility that teenagers have. They don't think that they can get diseases and they don't think that they can get pregnant. These things happen to you if you have sex.

It is a sad commentary on today's society when a mother is allowed to kill her children. Studies have shown that when rats are overcrowded that they turn to aggresive, cannibalistic, and homosexual. What happens when you crowd humans into tight spaces like New York City? They commit murders, they murder or beat up their children, and they find pleasure with the same sex. Another ill that comes from overcrowding is liberalism. Take a look at the states that voted for Al Gore. They are the over-populated coastal states. The vast majority of the central states where there are still some wide open spaces voted for George W. Bush. It shows that over-crowding brings out the worst in people, including liberalism.

The other people involved in surgical abortions are the doctors. Didn't they take an oath when they got their liscenses? A portion of one version of the Hippocratic Oath approved by the American Medical Association (AMA) read as: "That into whatsoever house you shall enter; it shall be for the good of the sick to the utmost of your power, your holding yourselves far aloof from wrong, from corruption, from the tempting of others to vice . . ." Pregnancy is not a sickness that needs to be cured. The only possible way to justify an abortion under this oath is if the mother's life is in extreme danger. Any abortion for convience would be a violation of this because a person is killed in an abortion. This second part of this mentions tempting other to vice. Pre/extra-marital sex is a vice. Permitting others suffer little consequence for engaging in such activities and continue with little more consequence is encouraging that vice. The fear of parenthood without the means to support the children was one of the things that kept society from becoming an orgy. Today that fear is gone so now sex is rampant, and pregnancy amongst those too young to care for children has risen significantly.

The version of the Hippocratic Oath quoted above goes as follows:

"You do solemnly swear, each man by whatever he holds most sacred
That you will be loyal to the Profession of Medicine and just and generous to its members
That you will lead your lives and practice your art in uprightness and honor
That into whatsoever house you shall enter; it shall be for the good of the sick to the utmost of your power, your holding yourselves far aloof from wrong, from corruption, from the tempting of others to vice
That you will exercise your art solely for the cure of your patients, and will give no drug, perform no operation, for a criminal purpose, even if solicited, far less suggest it
That whatsoever you shall see or hear of the lives of men which is not fitting to be spoken, you will keep inviolably secret
These things do you swear. Let each man bow the head in sign of acquiescence
And now, if you will be true to this, your oath, may prosperity and good repute be ever yours, the opposite, if you shall prove yourselves forsworn."
