Teaching and Other Work Experience	Partnership Facilitator, February 1997-January 1998 CEPAD (El Consejo de Iglesias Evangelicas Pro-Alianza Denominacional, The Council of Evangelical Churches for a Denominational Alliance), Nueva Guinea, Nicaragua. Taught English as a Second Language to individuals, English teachers, teachers in general, and at the university level. Taught the staff of CEPAD and two “Campesino Banks” to use Windows 95 and Microsoft Office. Founded and edited a newsletter, El Mensajero de CEPAD Nueva Guinea (The Messenger of CEPAD Nueva Guinea). Edited and directed its successor, El Mensajero Independiente (The Independent Messenger), which became a local newspaper.
	Long-term Substitute, October-December 1996 Dondero High School, Royal Oak, MI Taught Spanish at the high-school level for a teacher on maternity leave.
	Language Instructor, July 1996-November 1996 Langua Tutor, Bingham Farms, MI Taught Spanish to adults as a second (or third) language.
	Language Acquisition Facilitator, August 1995-June 1996 Pan-American Languages and Services (PALS) International, Troy, MI Taught individualized classes in English as a Second Language to adults at the intermediate and advanced levels.
	Spanish Teacher, August 1995-June 1996 Christ the King School, Detroit, MI Taught beginning Spanish at the sixth-, seventh-, and eighth-grade levels.

Computer experience	Extensive knowledge of computers, including Macintosh (up through System 7.5) and Windows 95 (in both Spanish and English), and Windows 3.1. Comfortable with any word processing program. Also familiar with desktop publishing and drawing/painting programs. Some exposure to databases, spreadsheets, and high-end graphics programs.
	Extensive experience with the Internet. Familiar with the World Wide Web, including writing HTML. Currently learning JavaScript.
	Designed and created a website for the First Presbyterian Church of Lansing, http://www2.netcom.com/~preslans/.

International Experience

Lived in Nicaragua, February 1997-January 1998. Two weeks in Nicaragua, March 1995 and March 1996. Two weeks in Belize, June 1992. Winter Term in Madrid, Spain, and Spring Term in the Andalucia region of Spain, 1992.
