Why Long Toes?

Not Only Beautiful, But Practical
This site is devoted to the appreciation of long toes. In these web-pages we'll look over some prime examples of long toes, all of which will be female. You've seen people with long toes, but probably haven't given the subject much consideration. If you found this site in error, you're probably more confused than a Palm Beach resident stuck in a voting booth. Let's cut to the chase: long toes are sexy. They are a mark of beauty. The more the toes are like fingers, the more elegant they are. I admire a girl who likes to flex her toes freely and, if so inclined, to pick things up with them. And the more "handy" your feet are, the more practical use you can get out of them. There are many advantages in having dexterous toes. You can retrieve fallen items, stroke a pet, pinch your friend, write, pick up marbles, and god knows what else. Some can even type with their toes or the most amazing feat, play a piano with their toes! The longer your toes are, the easier it is to have them serve as a second set of fingers. There's no shame in having so-called "monkey toes."

No Reason to Hide Big Feet or Long Toes Anymore!
Unfortunately, many young women with large feet or long toes are taught to be ashamed of their feet by a a cruel culture that exalts mediocrity. This mob mentality encourages women to conceal their feet. In their youth, women with long toes or big feet are made fun of by their peers with stubby digits. Just read what this one very confused woman wanted to do and you'll know what I mean. Aaaah! (insert Charlton Heston voice here) You bastards! Damn you all to hell! These poor women grow up to be ashamed of their big feet and long toes, always hiding them in closed-toed shoes. Well, guess what. You don't need to hide them anymore. Feet do not need to be petite. So join with me now to celebrate them, and to shed forever the unjustified stigma cast upon them by ugly feet and even uglier people. Take off those old, tired shoes and spread those long toes! Give them that rejuvenating air and exercise that they deserve.

Classical Origins
Any astute student of Greek or Roman art will tell you that long toes or longer second toes were definitely a plus in the eyes of the early masters; toe length had a distinct correlation with beauty and elegance. Medieval paintings rarely depicted a woman's bare foot. Interestingly, long-toed shoes enjoyed great popularity for a time; the Church attempted to prohibit such audacious footwear, and many a Pope denounced long-toed shoes as obscene. This tradition of depicting subjects with long toes was resurrected in the Renaissance, and fluctuated in popularity thereafter. The concept of "toe cleavage" emerged, showing the gaps at the beginning of the toes, seductively hiding away the full length of the digits. During the Art Noveau era, we can see some fine examples of long, graceful, fingerlike toes. In modern times, however, popular depictions have seemed to lose this perspective; they seem to be content with drawing or sculpting "peasant feet," with short, chubby toes.

Stubs are Flubs.
Hey Ms. long toes, not only are your feet cool AND beautiful, they are look even better stacked up against all those short, ugly toes out there. I'm sorry, but short, stubby toes are unattractive. I prefer not to cast the slightest glance at them. Now, if they can write with them or maybe move each toe individually, then we can talk. You've got to have standards, you know, and what better issue to force society to confront honestly than the long vs. short toes question. Hey look, if short toes are what you're into, put on the Flintstones. Stubba dubba doo. You know, I once knew a girl who could shoot a bird with her toes; she could extend her middle toe at will. She had very long toes, and was never afraid to show them off. Let her extended middle toe serve as a message to all those who would discourage their display.

Send in those toes...
Any submissions to this gallery will be very much appreciated. I know they're out there. So, how long were the longest toes you've ever seen? It's about time we established some international standards. We should hold a contest. Now, there are probably many variations in the spectrum of long-toed women, but let's say the second toe should be at least 2 inches long. Many people find a long second toe (known as Morton's toe or Morton toe) attractive; it is said to be a sign of leadership and ambition. Usually, the other toes taper off, leaving the second toe the most prominent. On some feet, all the toes are delightfully long. No matter what your preference is, we'll try to have the very best examples of long toes represented here.

So much for my long toes manifesto for the time being. Thanks to all of you for your 100% positive feedback! Viva very long toes! Super long toes! Extremely long toes! Monkey toes! Monkey feet! Fingertoes! Feetfingers! Using your feet as hands! Talented toes! Long, skinny toes! Long, boney toes! Double-jointed toes!
