Charter Granting Rights of Privacy to the Queen's Subjects
By the will of her Majesty, Queen Amistra I of Aveshria, it is hereby decreed:

The citizens of the Kingdom are hereby decreed to have certain rights protecting their privacy:

All personal information retained by the government is to be used exclusively by the government and used only in a manner which is necessary. Frivolous disclosure of personal information is a crime, and punishable according to the severity of the breach. The government will only disclose such information when necessary, and only with the Queen's approval. Every effort should be made to prevent the release of personal information, so as to protect the integrity of the people of Aveshria.

In order to ensure that personal information is not abused, the Queen hereby ordains the creation of the Office of Citizen Information, which will act as the sole repository of said information, and which will act to fulfill the intent of this charter.

By the will of her Majesty, this document is the law of the Kingdom; entered on October 4, 1998.
