Below is a list of the 12 MPs with the lowest speaking record in the House of Commons. The number under the 'Speeches' column refers to the number of oral entries in Hansard for that MP from May 1997 to February 1999. MPs marked in bold represent Yorkshire & Humberside constituencies.

NB: This league table excludes the two Sinn Fein MPs (Gerry Adams and Martin McGuinness) who have not taken up their seats and therefore have not spoken.
