Valentine's Day

Scene opens, the camera first shows the three Titans, still in beast mode and stasis lock on the white dessert sand. The camera then goes to the Predacon base, scattered in the tunnels are the bodies of the Predacons, small spider/light drones are slowly dragging them to the CR pods. Then you see the Amazons strewn about the jungle floor, also in stasis lock. Then at last you travel into the Maximal base, hefting the stasis locked Whiplash onto his back is Dinobot, the only robot on the alien planet who escaped Scream's rampage, he lies the robot in a CR pod and closes the lid, next to that pod are ones with Boomerang, Bambard, Panthor and Parrator in them. Dinobot sits at the control console, silence everywhere, the scanners, the cameras everything, he turns on a radio frequency.

DINOBOT: Team contact, do you read me? (Waspinator's voice chimes in over the radio, the camera shows him and Pestalance in their small pod-fighter flying through space.)

WASPINATOR: Yezzz? (He brings his transmetal face to the camera.) Is it on? Hello? (Dinobot chuckles to himself, glad for the distraction.)

DINOBOT: How far are you from the planet? (Pestalance turns on his own frequency, the Rattrap clone looks out the window as they pass by one of the planets.)

PESTALANCE: We got a couple days left, in the meantime we can't get a scan through, how's everything goin' on the surface?

DINOBOT: Trust me, you're much better off not knowing. (The picture starts to static.) What's wrong?

PESTALANCE: Eh, one a' the ...nets is pass... through our f...uency, It'll be .....ple days un... (The frequency dies and Dinobot is left alone. The camera goes outside the base, Dinobot comes out of the elevator and converts to vehicle mode, he revs his engine and takes off.)

Scene goes to later that night, the camera starts high above the Amazon's plateau, then down through the canopy of trees on top, Dinobot is carrying Tankeel on one shoulder and Springblaster on another, he arrives at the small hatch that goes down into their comm room. Inside there are only three CR pods, Dragoness, Pyereen and Shellshock are in them, He sets the two fem-bots down next to Quadroblade and walks up to a computer and starts typing.

DINOBOT: This should work for now. (A small tube slides out, inside is a variation of CR fluid, a small needle tip at the end, he injects a shot into Quadroblade's arm, then walks back to the computer and continues the process. A few hours later Dinobot drives down the side of the plateau and heads back to their base.)

Scene skips a head a few days, inside the Maximal base Whiplash's eyes open, his vision is slightly blurred for a second, he lifts the lid to his pod, sits up and turns to Dinobot.

WHIPLASH: How'd it end? (Dinobot sadly looks down at the ground, Parrator begins to panic as he can't open his pod.)

PARRATOR: Ah! Ah! I'm claustrophobic! (The video monitor turns on and Dragoness's face appears, Dinobot smiles with joy to himself.)

DRAGONESS: I see someone visited us in our sleep. (She winks at Dinobot.) Thanks, any news on the Titans or Predacons?

DINOBOT: Our scanners can't reach far enough to find the Titans, from all I can tell there's no activity at the Predacon stronghold either. (A siren goes off and he looks at a scanner, it shows an object moving with incredible speed toward the planet, he zooms in.) The polygon, they're back. (He quickly goes back to Dragoness.) The polygon has returned! he have to stop it!

PANTHOR: Talk about bad timing. (Whiplash sits at the computer.)

WHIPLASH: I've got the co-ordinance, hmm, (He brings up a map that shows the exact location.) that's strange, last time it attacked us. This time it's just dropping into the northern rim of the jungle.

DINOBOT: Let's go, we have no time to waste! (Outside the base Whiplash flies out on his hover-pad with Dinobot, Parrator carries out Bambard and Boomerang flies out with Panthor.)

Scene goes to a the northern rim of the jungle, the polygon stops a few feet above the ground, a blinding red light parts in and black anti-matter feet step out, a copy of Tarantulus, then Panthor, then Boomerang and so-on step out onto the dirt, their red eyes glaring into the jungle, their black bodies seem to absorb the light, the polygon expands with a strange hum and the shadows look in the opposite direction of the jungle, toward a barren wasteland of rocky outcroppings and traces of snow and ice, the shadows fan out into the wasteland.

Scene goes back to the Maximals flying over the jungle, it is later and they are now joined by the Amazons.

DINOBOT: Whiplash, what's at the end of the jungle?

WHIPLASH: I've only needed to scan extremes to the east, west and south. The Predacons are to our east several dozen miles where the ocean meets the jungle, I am not sure of the extent of the ocean. (Dinobot gives him a bored look.) the Amazons are to our southwest a few miles away from the rim of the desert, I'm not sure of the extent of the desert either but it's huge.

DINOBOT: You still haven't answered my question.

WHIPLASH: This planet resembles Earth, I'm guessing snowy wasteland, but, the polygon was headed for an area I haven't charted topographically yet, so it could be almost anything.

DINOBOT: That's reassuring. (Whiplash laughs and they continue to fly on over the canopy.)

Scene goes to much later the next day when they finally reach the northern rim, they land behind the last row of tree cover and look out into the barren, jagged, snowy wasteland, Whiplash brings up a scanner and it starts blipping like crazy.

DRAGONESS: What's that mean?

WHIPLASH: The polygon is within fifty yards, I can't read any shadows though.

SPRINGBLASTER: That's good. (She converts to her frog/monkey beast mode and leaps up into a tree, she changes her color to camouflage herself, Quadroblade converts to beast mode and flies up, she uses her four mantis-like blades to quickly remove unwanted branches.)

SHELLSHOCK: What do ya see? (Springblaster looks around and spots a floating black object several yards ahead and to the side.)

SPRINGBLASTER: Found it! (Quadroblade switches her eyes to a different light spectrum.)

QUADROBLADE: And no shadows in sight! (Pyereen scratches her forehead in deep thought.)

PYEREEN: This doesn't make sense. (Boomerang looks around nervously and pulls out one of his razored boomerangs.)

BOOMERANG: Som'thin ain't right here. (Whiplash converts his hover pad to saw/shield and steps out of the line of trees.)

WHIPLASH: We'd better slag it now. (Dinobot takes out his gun and charges his eye lasers.)

DINOBOT: We take it now before it has a chance!

QUADROBLADE: Quadroblade! Maximize! (She steps up next to Whiplash.)

DINOBOT: Go! (Whiplash and Quadroblade sprint to it, she gets to it first and slashes it several times with her wrist blades, Tankeel runs to the side and starts firing into the air, the polygon turns and starts firing at her, Whiplash hits it next, cutting several gashes into it.) Bambard! Go! (Bambard runs up to the damaged polygon and sticks his gangley antler hands into one of the cracks, he strains to pull it apart, Shellshock runs up next to him and helps him widen the crack. She lifts one of her wrist compartments and takes out a demolition charge. The trees behind the rest of the Maximals explode with gunfire they turn to see all eight of the Predacons behind them firing through the trees, Tarantulus nails Springblaster in the stomach and she flies over the polygon, Drone jumps next to him and fires his turbine gun, throwing Dinobot and Dragoness, Dragoness slams into Shellshock when drops the charge into the polygon.)

SHELLSHOCK: Fire in the hole! (Panthor fires at Drone and Tarantulus, the shot explodes behind Drone and sends him skittering next to Bambard and Shellshock, the polygon begins to glow and spin with incredible speed.)

DINOBOT: That's not right. (He takes a moment to think, a look of terror crosses his face.) No, a trap! It's a trap! Run!

(The Maximals and Predacons scatter, the polygon spins for twenty seconds more then explodes in a brilliant spray of shadow-like beams and anti-matter, the immense shockwave sends all twenty robots miles in different directions, Bambard and Shellshock fly to the east and land among more of the rugged terrain, Whiplash and Quadroblade are blown northwest and land in a snowy wasteland of jagged rocks and craters, Springblaster soars straight north and lands in a section of complete snow, Drone lands a several dozen meters short of her, Tankeel flies southeast and Boomerang lands several yards away from her. Dinobot, Dragoness and Panthor fly straight south and land in the jungle, Teraductile, Batteram and Chameleotron land about a hundred meters to their right. Parrator, Pyereen and Anacronda are flung northeast and land in huge snow dunes. Bombshell and Transquito spiral to the west-southwest also into the jungle and Tarantulus crashes into the jagged rocks straight west. Just as quickly as it had began, it ended. The camera goes to several parts of the snowy land as the shadows are incinerated, one of them is inside a cave standing at a strangely shaped and ancient looking computer console when it is de-materialized. Whiplash struggles to stand up, sparks fly from his battered and cracked body, Quadroblade struggles to her feet next to him.)

WHIPLASH: What the slag?

QUADROBLADE: I don't know what just happened, but I'm not sticking around to find out! (She tries to fly off the ground but her jets won't work.) Ah slag, beast mode. (Her body is wracked with a tremor of power and she is unable to transform, Whiplash catches her by the waist before she falls.)

WHIPLASH: Are you okay!? (She rubs her head and nods, he speaks to his internal computer.) Computer, internal diagnostic.

COMPUTER: Extreme damage to transforming capabilities, beast mode is off-line, flight is off-line, weapons are off-li- (Whiplash shuts it off.)

WHIPLASH: I guess we walk. (He shivers as they walk over the jagged snow covered ground. The camera shows Boomerang hanging by one of his feet from a tree, a vine tangled around his ankle, Tankeel walks up to him, he opens his eyes and sees her face in front of him.)

BOOMERANG: Why're ya upside down? (Tankeel sighs and twists him around, snapping the vine, he slams to the ground.) Beast mode. (A tremor goes through his body and he stays in robot mode.)

TANKEEL: We can't transform Dundee, among other things. (She helps up the taller robot.)

BOOMERANG: That's a kick in the bum idn't it? (She starts to walk away through the trees and he follows. The camera shows Shellshock sitting on the ground rubbing her head, Bambard is looking around.)

BAMBARD: So, no beast mode, no weapons.

SHELLSHOCK: The polygon must have been programmed to do that, but if it wanted to destroy it it would have done so, it wants us to die slowly.

(Bambard sits down and puts his arm around her shoulder.)

BAMBARD: We'll be fine, we just have to find the others.

SHELLSHOCK: How do we do that without scanning? (She stands up in a huff and starts walking over the rugged terrain. Dinobot lifts his face from the jungle floor, he is roughly tugged to his feet by Panthor and Dragoness.)

DRAGONESS: You okay? (Dinobot shakes his head and his vision straightens out.)

DINOBOT: I am in operating condition. (Panthor pats him on the shoulder.)

PANTHOR: Stubborn as always, I got some bad news for you, we can't transform, we can't fly, we can't use weapons or scanning and so-on, we also got a couple Preds to the right.

DINOBOT: Oh, is that it? (He gives a rare half-smile. The camera goes to a long white land, clouds are blocking the sun and blowing snow is blocking Springblaster as she tries to walk over the land. Further ahead of her Drone is sitting, shivering, in a dark cave.)

DRONE: Slaggin' freezing storm. (He goes to the opening of the cave and looks out into the whirling storm.) Nothing, nothing to make a fire or anything. (He sees something about fifty yards away, he zooms his vision in, it's Springblaster.) Serves that slaggin' fem-bot right. (He starts to turn and go back into the cave, a small voice is tugging at his spark.) No, (He tells himself.) I am not going to do it, I am not going to-ah slag. (He turns back to the opening and yells out.) Maximal! (Springblaster hears the faint yell, her mech fluids are almost frozen.) You'll never survive out there! (She doesn't hear any more because she collapses to the snow and blacks out. The camera goes to another part of the snowy land, it is snowing there to but not nearly as much, Parrator and Pyereen are sticking out of a snow dune, Parrator's voice comes out of it muffled.)

PARRATOR: Ah! I'm dead! I'm in the Matrix! (He is tugged roughly out of the snow dune and slides on his back, standing over him is Anacronda, Parrator struggles to pull out his gun.)

ANACRONDA: It wont work Pollie, we can't use weapons. (He pulls Pyereen out of the dune and she looks up at him.) The only way we're going to get out of here is if we don't waste our energy fighting, got it?

PYEREEN: Why are you helping us?

ANACRONDA: I have no care for your safety, just mine and mine alone. (He starts the long walk over the barren snow-covered land. The scene goes to Dinobot, Dragoness and Panthor walking through the jungle when Teraductile jumps out of the trees and tackles Dinobot, Batteram jumps down out of a tree and pins Dragoness to the ground, Chameleotron swings from a tree and kicks Panthor in the back of the head.)

TERADUCTILE: Hmph! (He digs his elbow deeper into Dinobot's back.) I don't see why Tarantulus is scared of you, you ain't that tough. (Dinobot does a fast push-up, flinging Teraductile into a tree, while Teraductile is still in the air Dinobot pulls out one of his swords and thrusts it through the Predacon and the tree.)

DINOBOT: Swords don't require power. (Teraductile looks down at the sword through his gut in shock then goes off-line. Dragoness knees Batteram in the crotch then punches his face in, Panthor flips the shorter robot off his back, grabs him by the shoulders, then head-butts him, The three Maximals don't give a second thought and continue their nature-walk.)

(Springblaster wakes up and looks around, she is in a dark cave, it is night outside now and the storm is stronger than ever, a fire a few feet away from her is casting an eerie glow, she looks at the fire, Drone's turbine gun has been meticulously re-engineered, the plasma fuel has been lit to provide a nice green glow, She then sees the Predacon sitting against the far wall, his gold face reflecting the green glow, his eyes are closed, he's asleep. Springblaster stands up weakly, she breaks a stalagmite off and holds it like a club, she grows closer and closer, she looks back at the fire, then at the sleeping ant-bot, she sets down the club and sits back down by the fire, Drone stirs a bit.)

SPRINGBLASTER: Why did you save me? (His green eyes snap open.)

DRONE: You would have saved me, it's the Maximal way. (His voice has a slight tone of contempt in it.)

SPRINGBLASTER: No, I probably wouldn't have. (She gives a nervous smile, desperate for something to interrupt the awkward moment, a loud roar explodes from deeper within the cave, she whispers to herself.) That'll do.

(Drone picks up the stalagmite and holds it in his hand, not realizing it wasn't there before he woke up.)

DRONE: That sounds huge, stay back. (Springblaster cocks an eyebrow at him.)

SPRINGBLASTER: Don't give me this protective male slag! (Drone is about to respond when a long, white, furry tentacle shoots out of the cave and wraps around Springblaster's waist, another one grabs his waist, more tentacles wrap around them, the source of the many tendrils slides out of the tunnel, it's body is covered in white fur, it has three huge black eyes, the bases of the tentacles are in a ring around a huge, tooth-filled mouth.)

DRONE: By the pit you're ugly! (The monster begins to strangle Drone, he hangs helplessly, the creature has taken its attention away from Springblaster, she breaks free and dives for the stalagmite, a tentacle lashes for her, she leaps over it and runs at the monster's face. The camera shows the rim of a canyon at ground level, the sun is just about gone inthis area, a hand comes up over the edge, Whiplash lifts the rest of himself over the edge and reaches over, he heaves Quadroblade up over the edge, before them is thinning snow, in the distance they can see the edge of the jungle.)

QUADROBLADE: This is going to take forever. (Whiplash collapses to his knees in exhaustion. The camera goes into the jungle, the sun is just under the horizon, one of Boomerang's sharpened boomerangs slices the tall grass out from in front of himself, Tankeel pushes him through.)

TANKEEL: Come on, can't we do this a little faster? (She starts to walk ahead of him, he grabs her by the arm and tugs her back.) Hey-

BOOMERANG: Shh! (He crouches down to the ground, Tankeel rolls her eyes. He puts his ear to the ground, then walks up to a broad flat rock, he lifts it up.) That's weird, it's light. (He moves the rock and looks down into the hole, he lowers himself in to get a better look.)

TANKEEL: What's down there? (Boomerang looks down one way, the wall is a strange rib-like design, he looks the other way, and screams in surprise, in front of him is one of the Xenomorph drones, it stares at him curiously, opens its mouth, the smaller mouth inside twitches, Boomerang closes his eyes, he feels a rough tug, Tankeel heaves him out of the hole, the upper half of the drone's body comes out, then another one behind it, the two Maximals take off running as more drones pour out of the hole and give chase.) Those things look like small Darkrazors! (She looks back, there are about a dozen of them racing over the ground or through the trees.)

BOOMERANG: Just keep runnin'! (Tankeel looks ahead, her eyes widen in horror, there is a thirty foot rift in the ground. Boomerang leaps and slams into the other side, he grabs onto the root of a tree, Tankeel jumps through the air, but her legs are not powerful enough, she falls short.) Nooooooo! (He thinks fast, throwing one of his boomerangs and lets go, the boomerang slices through the trunk of a tree, he travels down and gets his arm around Tankeel's waist, the tree topples over and crashes over the rift the vines whipping down, he grabs one, jerking them both to a stop, Tankeel wraps her arms around his neck and kisses him.) Well, uh- (A branch falls by them, they look up, the drones are crawling over the tree, watching and waiting, Boomerang looks at the tree root sticking out of the side of the crack, Tankeel looks into his eyes and nods. He begins swinging the vine, the Xenomorph are climbing down the vines, Boomerang throws his other boomerang and lets go, the two soar to the side and grab at the roots, the boomerang cuts the tree in the middle and it folds in half, trapping the Xenomorph drones in the branches as it falls. Tankeel sighs and sees a line of orange on the horizon, a rock tumbles on the side they came from, Bambard and Shellshock are standing there, Boomerang and Tankeel climb up, Bambard uses his antler hands to hack down a bridge.)
