I discovered this song a few days after returning from Marco Island and when I heard it, I thought Madonna had put out a new album and this was the first single. It wasn't until three days later when I found out that Selena sang the song, not Madonna. The song that brought back so many warm memories from past relationships was sung by a performer who tragically, would not be performing ever again. Selena's untimely death made the song even more memorable. Her voice spoke of exchanges only a hopeless romantic, madly in love would have including all the wishing and hoping that goes along with it. It transformed the listener to a time and place in their mind when they had been in love, bringing back a smile to any face. Although I'm single, I still get warm all over when I hear this song, giving me a burst of the energy you get inside when you see a person that you're helplessly in love with.
