How to Telnet to GeoCities to Check Your Email Account
TELNET to
mail.oocities.com 110
After U get the OK message give these commands:
- USER membername
- PASS yourpassword
The mailing software at geocities will now tell U the number of messages in your mailbox
- LIST - will list all the messages
- RETR #message - displays the message.
- Example RETR 1 will display the 1st message
- DELE #message - deletes the message.
- Example DELE 1 will delete the 1st message
- QUIT
These settings should get U started. If U have problems, replace mail.oocities.com with 204.7.246.131 This is not advisable though.
