M25 CASE INFORMATION 8

THE JURY, M25 JURY- WERE THEY RACIST ?

The discovery of the partiality of the jury who convicted the so called M25 three raises serious questions about whether the men got a fair trial.

Did the jury express racial bias during their deliberations ?

OR DID THEIR PARTIALITY SURFACE AFTER THE MEN WERE CONVICTED ?

Did the three appeal court judges reach their decision that the jury would have ignored the new evidence the defence presented at the appeal hearing, because the judges were aware that the jury was racially bias, having been shown relevant information by the prosecution during the secret hearing, from which the defence was excluded ?

These question of fundamental importance , should be investigated and answered so that justice can be manifested.

STATEMENT OF BR2543 ANDREW THOMPSON.

TAKEN BY RAPHAEL ROWE: WORMWOOD SCRUBS H.M.P

CELL4-62 "D-WING"

DATE: 6 JULY 1993

TIME: 6.50 PM

I was on remand in Belmarsh Prison having been arrested on the 6 February 1992. During my time held on remand I was being represented by Mr Jeremy Bull from "Atkins Hope" Solicitors.

During one of the conferences I had with Mr Bull he was telling me about cases he had been involved in and one of those cases he mentioned was the so called M25 case. He went on to tell me that a young lady had come to his office and said the reason why the three men involved in the M25 Case were convicted was because they were black. He' also added that this young lady was a member of the JURY at the trial. He also indicated that the M25 Case was the hundreth appeal case on a pile of cases. I am not sure what he meant by this.

I would like to add that I am not prejudiced against Mr Bull because I was convicted of Murder and he was my solicitor and I have no reason to state this conversation took place other than it did.

I think it is appalling he did not pass this information on to the men's lawyers. I passed this information on to Mr Rowe once I learnt he was one of the men accused of these crimes.

Signed: A Thompson.
