  • Hospital Workers Wildcat Strike Ends in Victory
    Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) and the Alberta Union of Provinical Employees (AUPE) cooperated in a Wildcat Strike of support staff in Edmonton Hospitals in March. The one day walk out which began at 5 AM ended at Noon with the Capital Health Authority ( which represents all Edmonton area hospitals) conceding to union demands including wage increases and No contracting out.
