P.E.I.: Man jailed for racist attacks

National Post

CHARLOTTETOWN - A Charlottetown man has been sentenced in connection with a racially motivated attack on three female Japanese visitors last April. Dwayne Finlayson, 29, a member of the white supremacist group Heritage Front, was sentenced yesterday to four months in provincial jail and 24 months probation after he pleaded guilty July 6 to the three assaults. Finlayson admitted to drinking alcohol at the time of the attack and to pushing a slice of pizza in one of the women's face while shouting racial slurs.
