OUTRE'-LAND
is offered as an educational tool to hammer home the point that:
"There are more things in heaven and earth than are dreamt of in your philosophy."
[Hamlet to Horatio in Hamlet by William Shakespeare]
"Reptilians are not a
politically correct species in the UFO community, and to admit to having
sex with one - much less enjoying it - is beyond the pale as far as the
more conservative members of that community are concerned."
[Open letter from Pamela Stonebrooke to the UFO community]

That there are other interests and views of life out there may be difficult for people of
an anal-retentive nature to accept, but it is necessary for people to live and let live,
side-by-side, without conflict if we are going to survive, much less thrive, on this planet.
People differ from one another in myriad ways: in race, sex, body-type, intelligence,
personality, temperament, character, imagination, industriousness, religion, economics,
health, politics, values, philosophy - the list is infinite. But, all people are people. And it is
this great d-i-v-e-r-s-i-t-y of the human entity from which is derived our greatest asset and
our greatest glory.
It was the diversity of immigrants to this land which engendered the effect known as
"the melting pot"a dynamic in which each person brought their own cultural heritage to the
blend and in the process of assimilating into American society, American society likewise
assimilated the best of all worlds.
Each individual constituted a social laboratory for
experimenting with and adopting or rejecting a whole host of modus vivendi. These United
States became the epitome of evolutionary technique. No other species has been able to
accommodate such diversity. As a result, no other species has been able to learn and
accomplish so much. Humans have carried the principle of a rich gene-pool beyond mere
genetics and leap-frogged to a new paradigm of ideational evolution.
Why is this important? Because it is why there is a United Nations - a concept which
had never been actualized before. True, it is ponderous, often inept and impotent. It is in
many ways corrupt and on the wrong track altogether. But it is a start. The alternative is
the religious, political, territorial and genocidal wars we have seen since the beginning of
history.
War, as they say, is HELL! It is harmful to children and other living things. It is a
waste of resources. It is a tragedy. And everything from a full-blown World War to a
dissing of one person by another is based on the same kind of act ...
A G G R E S S I O N !
While libertarians do not promote the concept of pure pacifism (We do believe in the
right of self-defense - and consequently of the Right to Bear Arms [as guaranteed - not
created - in the United States Constitution] - we also embrace (and require as an oath for
membership in the Libertarian Party), the concept of NOT initiating the use of force or fraud.
If everyone would just adopt this simple principle, what a wonderful world it would be!
One of the steps to living in harmony with diverse life-styles is to become aware that
one person's way of doing things is not the only way of doing them. True, some ways are
definitely better than others and some ways are definitely wrong - but it is the diversity of
ways which constitute our melting-pot laboratories for separating the wheat from the chaff.
