Lets now start with the declaration that the Neo-Turks made in 1911, then still under ottoman rule Thessalonica, "Turkey must become a Muslim country, where the Muslim ideas and culture must prevail and where all other religious and cultural propaganda must be eradicated ... and this is clear that cannot be done just with persuasion, hence violence must be used ... "

Already we can see that by 1911 it is already decided that the Neo-Turks had plans both the Greek and Armenian communities. Plans that will be covered in blood soon!

The above statements made were helped by the allies of the Ottoman Empire the all-powerful Germans, that were beginning to already show their Hitleristik methods that were soon to be tried on the Armenians and then the Greeks. Lets see what the German officer Liman Fon Santers, that was the mind behind the whole extermination plan of the Christian communities of Turkey, had to say about specifically the Greek community: "... I assure you ... that with the plan that I suggest their death shall be sure ... this so much hated race will be exterminated and will be once and for all eradicated."

Well we have seen the word eradicate already so much!! But were all these just words?? Well of course not! Lets see what the French 2nd Army Staff had to say on the 1st of October 1918:

"The biggest incentive for Turkey to come on the side of Germany was that Germany promised Egypt, Libya and Sudan to her. When the war was not going well, mostly because of the Russian successes against the Turks, then the Germans in order to keep the Turks happy, they turned them against the Greeks and Armenians, which were persecuted with a systematically (!!!) genocide, with repossations of the lands and houses, rapes, exile and slaughters. The German Officer Liman Von Sanders himself ordered the exile of the Greeks with the excuse that they were planning for an uprising in order to help the Greek Army."

Here there are many more French reports on the ways that the Turkish Army did all of the above in detail. Even before 1918 the French new already what was about to happen, The French Secret Service in a report on the 5th of September 1917 said:

"The insubordinate Greeks that would not join the Turkish Army were sentenced to death by the 1000s, but they were not killed really, they were sent to the BOZANTI area in order to be used as slave labour for the construction of road tunnels in the mountains. Nobody knows their destiny since then but we know that most of them are dead. ... For 2 years now all (!!!) the Christian people have been exiled to central Turkey (note: most Christian populations lived on the shores of Turkey, whether in the Black Sea or the Aegean Sea) after all the belongings were taken away from them. From Samsun (Samsounta in Greek) 60,000, from Aivali 30,000 ... women and children are considered all suspicious and are exiled. A lot of them die from typhoid ... one more year of this regime and will become a graveyard of all the Christian communities (!!!)."

I think here the words speak for them selves, but the writer of the above report had no idea that the worst was still to come! After this report I have at hand 10s of reports with specific dates and names of people that witnessed the massacres, it would take many days to write them all but lets see some of them:

From the General French Army Staff and the Secret French Service the following report was made only 1 month after the above report on the 5th of October 1917:

"... from our sources we understand that 50,000 people were exiled to the central Turkey with the known results (even the French are afraid to state the obvious here!!). The Greek people of the Black Sea have been eradicated."

Already by 1917 we have French reports that state that the Greeks of the Black Sea are eradicated!!

Many more reports were written on the massacres, but that was all that was done by the French and for that matter all the Western Diplomats. The Ottoman Empire was left to slaughter the Greeks of the Black Sea that lived in those lands for 1000s of years before the Turkish tribes settled in the area of Modern Turkey.

By 1918 the 1st World War was finished but the massacres continued. In the book a clear historical review is made on the conditions of the Christian communities in Turkey and the ways that the Ottoman Turks tried to hide their long term plans by prosecuting some of the people responsible but their leaders remained to their positions and kept making plans for the final blow to the Greeks of Turkey.

He then continues describing how the big powers, Britain, France and Italy cut Turkey in parts and decided to take a lot of land from the Ottoman Turkey and how the Greek Army that was given European Turkey, except Constantinople, the two islands of Imbros and Tennedos and 50 miles around Smyrna (Izmir is the name right now), was used by the big powers to manipulate Turkey and make her submit into giving the rich oil fields of Iraq to them, and after that was done they withdrew their support to the Greek side with a result of the know tragic destruction of 1922 and the known results. But lets now move on to see some of the atrocities of the Turkish Army on the Greeks of Turkey.
