The Way to a Better Future for All

Conclusion

The Party supports the aims and objects of ‘Vision 2020’. It fully supports the Federal Government in trying to develop Malaysia to be a fully developed and mature nation and will work closely with it to realise the targets of ‘Vision 2020’ for the state.

The Party believes in leadership by example, and will stay above board in all its activities. It will not tolerate any form of corruption, nepotism, favouritism and patronage, within the Government and the Civil Service.

The Party believes that the sole duty of the Government and Civil Service is to provide quality service to the people of the State and to protect the rights and properties of the people.

The Party believes that the role of the Government is to represent and to consolidate the wishes of the people of the State, and at the same time, to lead the State to the best possible future.

The Party believes that the concepts, ideas and programmes outlined in this manifesto are necessary for the State to meet future challenges and to bring the State to a higher plane of development.

The current approach of development in the State is exploitative and inequitable that is focused on the quick creation and accumulation of wealth by a few individuals at the expense of the whole State. It is based upon greed, and on pure exploitation, with little or no enhancement or value adding, of the State’s natural resources. It is based on the intimidation on the people and the suppression, concealment and distortion of important information from the people. This mercenary and political approach is not suitable, will bankrupt the State, cause social disorder, and will destroy the State’s social and natural heritage.

The Party believes that a new approach is needed to bring the State into the 21st Century, to turn it into a vibrant, rich, progressive, liberal, democratic, just and equitable State that will be a model for the other States in the country to follow. The Party’s manifesto is the way to the future, a future with a free, liberal, open and caring society. A society that caters to the needs and harnesses the potential of the individual, the family unit and the whole society. A society of happy citizens that safeguards the social and natural heritage of the State. In short, the Party is the only way to the future for the State. Any other vision of the future for the State is not worth thinking about.
