ATTENTION!!! The tablature presented below has been modified from
Carre's original for use on the MODERN GUITAR. Octave notes have been
added above 4th and 5th string notes, and chords have been explicitly
filled out. Compare this tablature with the original in AC23 - it is
laid out identically.
The point is to provide you with an example of how easy it is to modify
baroque guitar music for the modern guitar. The texture is almost always
thin enough so that you can easily add the necessary octave note. The
decisions made here are not authoritative! Change anything you don't like!

Slurs. If only a starting point is given, slur includes all the following
uninterrupted notes on the same string. Some slurs will have to be
rethought after adding the extra notes for the modern guitar. In m17,
m19 and m52, I slide the octaves up a fret. Dunno what the early music
police would say about that...

were not shown in the tablature; add as many open strings as sound good.
Take a moment to re-draw the ^ arrowhead right at the top of the associated
stem.
Explanation of symbols:
" = trill (starting on upper neighbor).
, = mordent (main note to lower neighbor and back to the main note).
. = do not strum this string in the chord.
$ = petite reprise symbol. Return to the sign and play to the end.
( = "chute." A note in a chord is reached by a slur from its lower
neighbor. It is not crushed like a mordent. For example:

Performance style: consider playing the 8th notes inegales, that is, as
dotted 8ths or "swing" 8ths (triplet feel).
