Fixes, modifications, comments (M=Measure; p=Place in measure; s=String):
M45p3s3. The original tablature shows a squiggle that looks most like a "5".
I changed it to a "0" here. (Compare with m51.) Perhaps Sanz was
considering a "5" on string 4.
M54. The original tablature shows a bar line after place 1. Bar line was
ignored here.
M76-80,83. Sanz uses alfabeto for the chords in these measures. All other
chords he spells out explicitly.
M84p2. I left the chord as it is given in Sanz's original tablature. You
deal with it.
When Sanz indicates vibrato on a chord, he shows only one vibrato symbol "#"
below the chord. I assume the vibrato applies to all fingered notes and
provide a separate "#" for each fingered note of the chord here.
Tablature elements to be added by hand:
Slurs. If only a starting point is given, slur includes all the following
uninterrupted notes on the same string.
M83 p2s1 p9-11s2.
M85 p2s1 p9-11s2.
Take a moment to fill out the 16th-note beams.
Explanation of symbols:
" = trill, generally starting on upper neighbor.
# = vibrato.
, = mordent, main note to lower neighbor and back to the main note.
Strums: Arrowheads ^ and v indicate strums. Open strings in strummed chords
were not shown in the tablature; add as many open strings as sound good.
For a nicer appearance, redraw the arrowhead right at the top or bottom of
its stem and white-out the printed one.
Octave doublings: If you play this on a modern guitar, consider adding or
substituting the octave above any note played on the 4th or 5th string.
Here's an idea for hacking through the section starting at m75 on the
modern guitar. It works in most of the octaves but gives up some of the
cross-string effect. Anyone have a better solution? These staffs are
laid out the same as in the complete piece in case you want to paste them
in (electronically) or over (with sticky stuff.)
