Brian Keahl's Political Wit, Wisdom, and Rants
Kosovo is not Iraq!
For those that oppose our involvement in Kosovo and are confused by President Bill Clinton's decision to involve us there I can tell you the he is being morally consistant with himself! Yes, I'm going to defend the filandering, dope smoking, draft-dodging, communist sympathizer's decision as being consistant!
You see, candidate Bill Clinton opposed our involvement in the Persian Gulf as a dangerous foreign entanglement that would lead to deaths of our troups in defense of oil. You see, defending a country from a foreign invader and protecting something vital to our national interest is dangerous and an unnecessary risk to the lives of American Soldiers.
Kosovo is an exactly opposite situation. There is no national interest at stake there. We aren't protecting a country from foreign invasion. We have nothing to gain. We'll consume our ever dwindling supply of munitions and weapons and put our soldiers, seamen, airmen, and marines in harms way to stop a civil war in a small, distant country whose citizens are fighting among themselves.
President William Jefferson Blythe Clinton is being true to form by involving us in an unnecessary foreign entanglement, risking our nation's most valuable capital, and generally continuing the slow destruction of America's military resources and will. This has been his goal since he toured Moscow with a Communist leader in the early '70s. Don't be shocked and confused with this man, be assured he is being the same person he has always been
Having explained why the Boxers-in-Chief is being morally consistant with himself I must now explain why his actions are entirely immoral.:
We must send a message to those involved in civil wars that extending their actions beyond the borders of their country will bring the full rage of the American Military upon them - thus avoiding the possibility of another World War. We should protect the sovriegnty of the borders of established countries, especially those of our allies. But we should not expect to involve ourselves in foreign entanglements any more than we should have expected foreign countries to engage in warfare with the United States and Confederate States of America during our own Civil War.
Let us use our resources, exercise our military might, and risk the lives of the defenders of our freedom in the interest of our nation and the protection of the borders soveriegn nations. Foreign nations and families of soldiers at risk will be forever grateful.
