Gennifer Flowers named Bill Clinton in a lawsuit in 1992. It is alleged that Flowers was a long-time lover of Clinton, a charge which he has denied. Flowers had been given a lucrative job over a more qualified minority in the Arkansas state government by the Clinton administration in the 1980s. She had recorded some of Clinton's "love calls" to her and had made the tapes public. They contained highly damaging information about Clinton but for the most part were ignored by the media.
