The Fugitive
Unit is the investigative unit assigned to locate wanted persons
in other states and return them to stand trial for their crimes.
It is also responsible for the search for fugitives locally and
for wanted persons in jails and prisons throughout the country.
Air travel:
Commercial Airlines:
When making
reservations, the Baltimore-Washington International
Airport (BWI) is the most convenient to Prince George's
County. It's location is approximately 1/2 hour drive to
Upper Marlboro, where the County Court House, Sheriff's
Office, and the Correctional Center are located. Exit the airport
toward Annapolis via I-97 south. Follow I-97 for 7miles.
Exit at Md Route 3 south toward Bowie for 9 miles. As you
cross under Md Route 50 Route 3 becomes US Route 301.
Continue south for an additional 9 miles to Upper
Marlboro.
General Aviation
Airports:
There are three
General Aviation Airports in Prince George's County.
- Washington
Executive Airport also called Hyde Field (W32) is
located on Piscataway Road in Clinton Maryland.
- Freeway
Airport (W00) is located on Church Road in Bowie
Maryland.
- College Park
Airport (CGS) located in College Park Maryland.
College Park Airport is the world's oldest
continuously operated airport and was established
by the Wright Brothers to train pilots. There is
a museum on the field.
All three airports
have close to equal driving time to Upper Marlboro.

Driving:
From Interstate 95
Take Exit 11A
(Pennsylvania Avenue) South. Follow for eight miles and
exit at Upper Marlboro. Turn left at the end of the Exit
onto Water Street. Make a Left at the Traffic Light onto
Main Street. Make a Right onto Old Marlboro Pike (about a
block and a half). Make a Right onto Brown Station Road,
and a Left onto Dille Drive. The Sally Port is the First
Driveway on the Right.
From Rt. 301
Turn Right, from
the North, or Left from the South at the Traffic Light at
Old Marlboro Pike (Dunkin Donuts, Shell, Roy Rogers, 7-
Eleven) Continue onto Main Street Past the Courthouse and
through the traffic light at Water Street. Make a Right
Turn onto Old Marlboro Pike, Another Right onto Brown
Station Road, and a Left onto Dille Drive. The Sally Port
is the First Driveway on the Right.
Lodging
Several fine
accommodations are available near Upper Marlboro, or closer
to Annapolis, Baltimore, or Washington D.C. Selecting a hotel
between BWI Airport and Upper Marlboro will make your flight
out easier. The Comfort Inn at Bowie, Md. The hotel situated
approximately halfway between the airport and Upper Marlboro.
Situated at Route 301 and Route 50, this location offers easy
commutes to Baltimore, Annapolis, and Downtown Washington.
