The year, it is assumed, has some significance, as it was chosen specifically by someone for some purpose in an attempt to fufill some sort of pre-organized Mission.

No further contact has been made with the year 2323 in case eliminating contact with that year was the very Mission of the real JFK Jr.

The inevitable fact that sooner or later contact will have to be made, if only by an entire universe of people from the year 2322 on December 31st of that year, aids in the belief that the real JFK Jr. did indeed fail in his Mission. Of course, for obvious reasons, this theory can not be validated.
