Telecommunications Workers Union Local 9 is the largest Plant local in the Interior of British Columbia. The current membership count is 220. With Prince George at its center Local 9 covers approximately 25,000 square miles of the Central Interior of British Columbia, Canada. While most members live and work in Prince George for TELUS, Local 9 also includes members living and working in the communities of Burns Lake, McBride, Mackenzie, and Vanderhoof.

     Local 9 also represents 10 employees of Guardian Angels Traffic Control - a flagging company located in Prince George. The Central Interior is also home to TWU members working in Operator Services TWU Local 18 and Clerical members working in TWU Local 26.
