Phyrtana's Bond

If Phyrtana didn't much care for being a boy, or a whale, why'd she head to this clutch? Well, ... if there is one thing she's learned from her semester in the Childcare division, it's that everyone deserves the chance to grow and be cared for.

And dragons are definitely cool. They need to be cared for. And... what if ... there are all kinds of seaside-resorts where she could swipe things from, and then have an accomplice waiting in the water to help whisk her away to a safe spot.

Okay, so she's got a criminal intent. But that shouldn't stop anyone from bonding a dragon, right? Right?!

Raevale's eggs were clustered at the edge of the beach, and she lay half-in, half-out of the water watching over them carefully as Phyrtana approached. Two or three had hatched already, and one of these was flopping around its mother on flipper-like feet. When it saw Phyrtana, it hopped over to her curiously and blinked up at her with huge, swirling eyes. Phyrtana couldn't help but smile.
Hello! the hatchling, a female, chirped brightly. My name's Feresa. What's yours?
"Phyrtana," she replied.
Feresa bounced about in childish glee a bit longer and then said, I wanna go back to this Carramba High place with you! I can be useful to you, really!
Phyrtana laughed. "Yeah, okay, why not?" She patted Feresa's dark grey head.
Yay!

Phyrtana would definitely be spending more time as a male, she realized, but that would be okay. As long as she slipped into the water quickly enough she could also 'magus herself and no one would be the wiser...

Well they got away with it a few times, but it was pretty clear that after the fifth time they would need to use some better tactics. Phyrtana elected to 'graduate early' from the school, only by two months, so it wasn't like she skipped out on a whole grade or more. That gave her the ability to move a little farther around, and with Feresa's ability to teleport the seas were theirs!
