Jan Rudy

According to popular belief Jan was the only member that was known to be worshiped. It was rumored that when his picture appeared on a June 16 1995 poster some girls took them down and one of them had an alter in their room with his pictures everywhere.

Jan was one of the original three members of Dirge. He was right there at the very first practice early in 1994. Leaving August 1994 to form the fabled Elephant Angel Child he would later return late March 1995 to play bass full time, replacing Jen Palmer. His first show with Dirge was May 5th 1995 however he still managed to make it to all of the earlier shows that didn't feature him in the band. Jan manned the overhead projector for Dirge's first show December 22nd 1994 displaying our cartoons on us and the wall behind us while we played.

Jan was writing his half of the songs for Dirge and later Cartoon Khaki he would switch back and forth from bass to guitar with Jeff.

After the brake down of Cartoon Khaki in July 1997 Jan went off to the University of Toronto for math. He later dropped out of math saying that he didn't want to be known for his math abilities. He decided to go to Humber College for film making and graduated. He now works as a sound engineer in Toronto and has his own solo project Thomas And The Evil Computer and has two CDs out and is doing quite well with his project. He is also playing in his full band called Beep. Look for them in your listings they are quite good and are currently working on a debut CD.

Right now Jan is enjoying Poland and upon returning back to Brantford in September 2005 will make a stop off in England and play a few shows with Thomas And The Evil Computer. Check out how he is doing in Europe here http://blog.evilcomputer.ca/. You can go http://www.myspace.com/evilcomputer for Jan's music.
