Acting, music, martial arts, sports, Cassie Steele is an all-around talent. She started in gymnastics and eventually moved into acting due to transportation. Her big break came as she guest starred as Young Sydney at age ten in Relic Hunter. Cassie currently portrays Manuella "Manny" Santos on Degrassi: The Next Generation, a daughter of an immigrant Filipino family living in Canada. She has also acted in several commercials, in the Disney Channel original movie Full-Court Miracle as Julie, the protagonist Alex's best friend and in PAX TV series Doc in the guest role of Heidi, a gymnast suffering an ankle injury as well as in series The Best Years and MTV's Super Sweet 16: The Movie. Most recently the young actress appeared in Instant Star's final season as singing contestant Blu.

Currently Cassie is writing songs and recording her own music. Her debut album How Much for Happy?, released in 2005, feature her songwriting talent as well as her vocal abilities on twelve of the thirteen tracks. In 2003 she has written the song "Prayer" for the UNICEF video The Global HIV/AIDS Pandemic: What Are You Going To Do About It? to increase awareness about HIV/AIDS.

Acting and performing genes must run in the family in that her younger sister Alex also acts in D:TNG as the adorable Angela Jeremiah. Aside from the busy work of school, work, and many activities, she likes to spend time with her family and friends and to watch movies. With such talent, ambition, and more, Cassie Steele is sure to make her mark in the entertainment industry.
