Updates to biography, filmography, gallery, keep watch, talented Filipinos. I'm in total anticipation for the episode "We Got the Beat." It's kind of fun to see some slice of Filipino life in "mainstream" despite clichés, stereotypes et al. Nevertheless, represent! Also Executive Producer Stephen Stohn mentioned on the d.tv boards that the season will follow up on it. My curiosity is piqued! I wonder if Darryl is in it.... My critique for now is ... where is the barong!?
PS I recommend watching The Debut!

news: Cassie has updated her myspace with new pictures from last week's trip to New York and TRL and that she'll be in Da Kink in my Hair. The video of the this appearance is available on eTALK. I did some research on Da Kink in my Hair which is a television series airing on Canada's Global. Reading the description of this new series, I expect Cassie'll be a guest on an episode or so.

news: Cassie along with Aubrey Graham, Shenae Grimes, and Shane Kippel will appear on TRL this Thursday, October 4, to promote the D:TNG Season 7 premiere. They pre-taped their appearance earlier this week.

news: D:TNG Season 7 will premiere on this Friday, October 5, on The N, and the website has been updated with new images and videos. Also, four cast members will visit TRL this Thursday, October 4, to promote the season premiere.

news: The N has been heavily promoting Season 7 which will premiere on October 5. The network has been flip-flopping the premiere between the 5th and 12th, but tune in and find out. Looking at the current promos and graphics, it looks like this humble website provided some inspiration--of course, totally wishful thinking!

news: Cassie will be on Instant Star as Blu, a finalist in the series' own competition, in the fourth season. She'll first appear in episode 405. Visit instantstar-online.net for the news and the video of her interview with eTalk. Interesting tidbits: Cassie auditioned for Instant Star. As this series will focus on this year's competitors and the aspect of writing music, Cassie's own music will be featured.
PS D:TNG won Teen Choice Award surfboard for Choice Summer TV Show and received for four Gemini Award nominations. Also, open now is The Degrassi Online Store.

news: Five years have passed since its debut: The N will be its own network! It will air teen- and pre-teen-targeted series around the clock. According to CNNMoney article "MTVN's NOGGIN and The N Channels to Split into Two Separate 24-Hour Services, Dec. 31, '07", D:TNG's Season 7 will start airing later this fall in October, and in April 2008 The Degrassi Spring Break Movie will premiere. The long-awaited movie will feature the cast from Degrassi Community School as they take their first college road trip. Now I wonder will this movie involve primarily around the older class. Will the younger class(es) be included as well?

news: The dodegrassi.com website of D:TNG DVDs has finally been updated with new info and downloads about the Season 5 DVDs--to be released on July 3. Also featured on DVD set is an exclusive interview with Cassie and on the website are PSAs of the young actress promoting the THINK.Prom pledge program which emphasizes “Party Safe, Party Sober.”

news: The official website of The Best Years is up and available to visit. The series is currently airing on Global in Canada and will premiere on The N June 29. Be sure to watch out for the episodes in which Cassie will be appearing as Lucy Montoya-Ramirez (aka “Sahara Oasis”). Check out the keep watch page for the airing dates.

news: Cassie will be part of MTV's Motion Picture Sweet 16, based on the MTV series My Super Sweet 16. Part of the cast are Aly and AJ Michalka whose official website has the latest news and pictures. It will air on MTV July 7 and be released on DVD on July 10.

news: Celebrating its tenth anniversary Sprockets is honoring Linda Schuyler and Degrassi with a discussion session featuring key members of the creative team on Saturday, April 14, at 7pm at the Winter Garden Theatre in Toronto. Joining Ms. Schuyler will be director Phil Earnshaw, writer Brendon Yorke, and cast members Cassie Steele, Stefan Brogren, Amanda Stepto, Lauren Collins, Sarah Barrable-Tishauer and Adamo Ruggiero. news: Music producer Mher Filian of SuperSpy Productions recently let me know to share the news with you that he and Isaac Hasson have been working with Cassie on her music in Los Angeles. Three of her new songs are posted on her myspace: "Rock Star Beau," "Pavement," and "Mr Cliché." Her official site is under construction right now so let's wait and see what these guys have in store! In the meantime sit back and listen.

news: Exec Producer Stephen Stohn at the degrassi.tv boards announced last Friday that CTV has ordered 24 episodes for D:TNG's seventh season! Currently they are brainstorming over at Epitome for new ideas and directions. The cast and crew will gather again and shoot this spring. Also, Linda Schuyler has mentioned before that Season 7 will pick up where Season 6 left off, i.e. the second half of current school year.

news: Well, no Private Premiere Party last Friday, but I hope you guys enjoyed the evening, especially the Degrassi/Instant Star take on the Mac/PC commercials. The event may have been canceled possibly due to the ACTRA strike in Canada. Anyway, The-N.com now has a new mini "Bring It On" and On the Set as well as the mangasodes. When the next new episodes will be aired on either The N or CTV have yet to be even announced.
According to imdb.com Cassie will be part of a new series The Best Years as Lucy Ramirez-Montoya/Sahara Oasis. She will be in three episodes: "Shadow of a Doubt," "From Here to Eternity," and "All That Heaven Allows." Currently in production, The Best Years is a new hour-long series produced for The N and Global about first-year students at a fictional Boston university. The series will air on The N in June. Still digging around for details.

news: This Friday Cassie and Instant Start's Alexz Johnson will host The N’s Private Premiere Party with and episode "If You Leave," at 8:00 pm. In the following weeks instead of airing new episodes The N will be showing Degrassi: BTW and from last September Degrassi’s 40 Most Go-Therest Moments. In Degrassi: BTW certain episodes will be shown with factoids popping up. Amazing how The N continues to squeeze even more out of these oldies but goodies!
