Got some great news when I woke up this morning -- her night nurse had dropped off a copy of her blood work and she is showing some immature white cells!  This means that her marrow transplant is starting to take hold and it is trying to work.  She's been getting a shot called GCSF for the past 5 days to encourage cell production, and will probably keep getting it for another 7 to 14 days, but it looks as though it is working.   She had 38% bands and 12% segs.

I'll post more later in the day, but I'm going to put up a list of some of the most common things on her blood counts and what they mean, so that when I rattle off these terms, you are able to go look up what the heck I'm talking about, if you aren't sure.  Sometimes I forget that everyone doesn't deal with all of this all the time.
