RONAN'S INTERESTS

RONAN AS A HOST-In the past Ronan has done a lot of  work hosting many award ceremonies like the MTV Europe awards in 97and 99 the MTV Asia awards being the most recent .This passion began way back in 1995 when he began hosting the top of the pops countdown in UK along with Stephen and other guest hosts. He has also been a host at many other occasions including the miss world pageant.

RONAN AS A BAND MANAGER-Ronan has been the co manager for Westlife since 99 when they released their first single because he believed in them from the start. So though he is not with them all the time he offers them advice from time to time inspite of his busy schedule.

AS A SONG WRITER-Ronan has been writing songs since the early Boyzone days. he also wrote a song and won fourth position in the Eurovision song writing contest. More recently he also co- wrote the hit song 'The Long Goodbye' with Paul Brady for US country duo, 'Brookes & Dunn'.

RONAN AS AN ACTOR?-Of course Ronan has made songs for movies such as Notting Hill and Mr. Bean but he might also take up acting as a career. Ronan was very much influenced by his meeting with Julia Roberts at the premiere of Notting Hill that he also went along for the audition for Moulin Rouge and met with  director Baz Luhrman .He also said in an interview that he might take up acting lessons in the future. Who knows maybe in a few years we will see a Ronan Keating-Julia Roberts co-starrer.

RONAN AS A T.V.PRODUCER-Ronan is in the early stages of putting together a  reality based TV series called "Shock- On" with a friend. The series involves Ronan traveling his favorite routes  on his bike and chatting with people about music.Ronan Keating tells that he wishes to move from his singing career and move on to the big screen.

RONAN AS A SCREEN WRITER "I've written a few screenplays, one of which is a love story" he said. "I don't know if they will ever make it to the big screen, though. It's something I do in my spare time because I find it therapeutic."
