Novena to St. Sergius and St. Bacchus
Oh glorious Martyrs, Saints Sergius and Bacchus, your love for each other and God are an inspiration and joy to me. I beseech you now to intercede for me to the Lord God Christ Almighty. You servants of our Lord, whose trust in the One true God, and Holy Trinity, was so great, that neither public humiliation, nor torture, nor threat of death swayed your devotion to Jesus, the Son of the Father. The Lord our God acknowledged your love and courage, when St. Sergius at his lowest and loneliest after the death of St. Bacchus, began to lose heart, and so behold the Lord sent the spirit of St. Bacchus to St. Sergius to console him with the promise that the two of you would again be together in Heaven.
I call to you now, implore to the Lord our God and pray my petition(Petition) at the foot of our Heavenly Father. Pray for me, that at life’s end I may join you and all of the saints and angels to behold the face of God and sing praise to Him throughout eternity. In return for your help and prayer I promise to spread the word of your love and courage and devotion to God our Lord. I ask you too, be at my side to guide and guard and encourage throughout all the days of my life, but especially in those times when my life seems the most difficult and my struggles and sufferings seem to be at their greatest. Pray for me, watch over me St. Sergius and St. Bacchus. Amen.
