PRAYERS TO SAINT RAPHAEL

The prayer of the timid driver may be adapted to any number of situations.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph, be with us on the way!
Dear St. Raphael, make me a careful, confident, competent and safe driver.
Protect me against my own follies, foibles, faults, stupidities and mistakes as well as against those of others.
Protect my car against mechanical failures and help me in difficulties and problems caused by the weather or other     circumstances including my state of mind or health.
Do you, St. Raphael, please drive for me and with me.

There is also a Chaplet of St. Raphael that you may be able to acquire. The beginning of the chaplet looks similar to the Holy Rosary.

On Medal:

     You are Raphael the Healer,
     You are Raphael the Guide,
     You are Raphael the Companion
     Ever at Human Sorrow's side.

On Small Beads:

Three Hail Mary's to Mary, the Queen of the Angles.

On Nine Beads:

On each bead in honor of the nine angelic choirs (one in honor of each choir, namely: Angels, Archangels, Thrones, Dominations, Virtues, Principalities, Powers, Cherubim and Seraphim) say:
Holy, holy, holy Lord God of Hosts, Heaven and earth are full of Your glory! Glory be to the Father; glory be to the Son; glory be to the Holy Spirit!

Concluding Aspirations:

St. Raphael, angel of health, of love, of joy and light -- pray for us.

St. Raphael is an archangel whose special mission is to assist and prtect travelers, to cure men's ills, and arrange happy meetings and to protect family life. We can become acquainted with him by reading the Book of Tobias (Tobit) in the Old Testament. St. Raphael is especially appointed by God to care for us when we pass from place to place.
