Always At Sunset
by Cathy Roberts

The days seem to pass so swiftly now,
turning weeks into months,
months into years,
taking you further away from me.

And yet, there are times when
I see you so clearly.
You are so close
I could reach out and touch you.

You were my sunshine
and it is always at sunset
when I feel the loss of you most,
and night quickly becomes entangled
in a haze of memory and longing.
