2 with each hammer blow, the nails deeply did go... and with each strike piercing through, we were hammered into his heart, leaving scars which will never fade, forever reminding God that the price His Son paid was paid for you and for me so...how can you feel, how can you believe he would ever let us go so very easily? for, in the end, he engraved us in his heart, indelibly etched there when he was nailed to that cursed tree that is known as the Cross at Calvary
I have engraved you on the palms of my hands. Isaiah 49:16 ENGRAVED Remember how he was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities? Remember how much he suffered? It was no transient affair he had in mind when he did all of that for us!! Cathy J. Montgomery Easter 1999
1 the price he paid... the cost he suffered... the wounds and tears and blows he withstood... do you think-- do you believe-- he ever would let go of you? could he ever let loose by the hands-- by those hands that bore those nails? the nails that, with each ripping motion, eternally nailed you, joined you to him?! he faintly cried, "Into your hands I commit my spirit." and into his hands our spirits went! for the price he paid, for the suffering he bore, for the agony he endured, he did it for love-- love of you, love of me-- that's what kept him nailed to that tree
