Considering the political tension in the area, commerce raiding is relatively light in the Fahinar Subsector, with few incidents being reported.
The Carrillian Assembly, once an Imperial ally, has become neutral in the struggle between the Imperium and the Solomani. This shift began shortly after High Justice Daldreem seized total power in the Assembly and began turning it into a repressive police state.
Only one Imperial world is in this subsector - Eilis, 5 parsecs Rimward of the nearest Imperial border. The Presidium of Eilis refuses to choose sides in the Rebellion, and also refuses to seceed from it. As it is a rather backwards world, Imperial protection is very light, and it would likely be overrun if the Solomani choose to do so. So far, the Solomani haven't bothered. Its small scout base keeps tabs on developements.
The Republic of Laurie, an Imperial client state, has declared neutrality in the brushfire war between the Imperium and the Solomanis. Currently, there are only 19 full-time residents, sitting a mere 2 parsecs from a major Carrillian naval base. Current Carrillian intentions toward Laurie are unknown, but the combination of near-vacuum conditions and generally inhospitible environment make one curious as to whether or not the Carrillians would even bother. Its B-class starport is able to handle ships up to a maximum of 500 tons.
