The V & H system (p/n 32513) is lighter (almost half), has a slightly bigger diameter than stock and has a nice brushed stainless steel finish.  The S4 is a slip-on muffler typically but comes as a full system only for the SV650.  If it sounds confusing, its because it is.  Most sites have it mislabeled and mispriced because of this.

The exhaust is well manufactured and fits nice and tight.  Don't get frustrated when the instructions tell you to rock the pipe side to side to help it into the rear pipe.  There is almost no room to rock it because the front header bangs against the header studs.  Patients is a virtue!  Just keep rocking it back and forth 1/2 inch at a time and the rear pipe will eventually slide forward and up to the collar and the front pipe will pop right in.  The rest of the install is easy.  The only thing I did different was to use stainless steel 5/16 x 2" bolts for the exhaust hangers instead of the stock chrome plated bolts.  Just sand the heads and they will match the rest of the system.
Update: Recent examples of this exhaust have not quite been the quality of the early version like I have.  On the good side this exhaust can be found for about $380.00

I love the look of the S4 can.  I think its the coolest looking can out there.  The double pipe look of the end cap is unique and gives the bike a "bad ass" look.

Impressions
The sound is nice and crisp with a nice rumble, almost harlyish starting at a standstill but quickly produces a nice tone thats all its own (one that other cars will hopefully notice before they pull out in front of you).  The noise level is moderate -not overly expressive but you know its there.  My neighbors say its not too loud and thats all I care about.  Power was improved, I notice more snap in the throttle and the bike pulls harder for sure.  Wheelies are real easy now.  The best part is the price.  You can get it for less than $400.00.  Once the bike was rejetted and desnorkled it screams, can't say any more than that.
