Siamese Human Knot

Yvonne Craig, Adam West and Burt Ward assumed at least three different positions during the Siamese Human Knot. Ms. Craig wrote:

"We all just kinda jumped in and got tangled up together. It wasn't scripted to put any body parts any certain place at any time."

This is confirmed by the script of Nora Clavicle and the Ladies' Crime Club:

ANGLE ON KNOTTED TRIO
knotted together (without ropes) in a maze of intertwined arms, legs, heads and torsos. They are absolutely motionless.
"We had a horrible time getting into it," Yvonne said, "because Burt is inflexible. They would say, get closer, get closer guys. We had to stay that way for rather a long time and he was complaining that it hurt. I said, 'It's supposed to hurt.'"

At first, Batman's left arm is around the back of Batgirl's neck, then comes down and across to join Robin's left arm. Also, Batman's right leg is over both of Batgirl's legs rather than between them.

During the commercial break, their positioning changed to this:

At this point, Batgirl's left arm is over Robin's right, as shown here:

but as the camera zooms in as Nora leaves, Robin's arm is suddenly above Batgirl's!

That is also shown in this shot:

Burt had the following to say in his book, Boy Wonder My Life in Tights

Being in that position on the floor for so long left Adam and me with aching muscles. Recently I spoke with Yvonne, and she remembered what I had said when they pulled us apart.

"Oh! I'm so sore I'm gonna die. I'm not used to having my legs in this position!"

Yvonne had no problems with tight muscles because of her ballet conditioning and training. . . .
