other include files
A few files created by other POV-Ray users:
- Exizt and App, Network Rendering Tools by Sebastian Breier
- These two small programs allow you to distribute the rendering of both animations (using Exizt to allow each computer on a network to render frames without overwriting those already rendered) and still frames (using App to join uncompressed partial Targa files), over a DOS or Windows (3.1, 9x, NT) network.
Download EXIZT.ZIP (11.3 Kb) and extract it to a temporary directory.
The file includes the necessary executable files along with HTML instructions and contact information.
- 50-300mm Zoom Lens Flare, by Zeger Knaepen
- Zeger has created an excellent custom lens effect for use with the Lens Effects include file.
Save 50-300mm.txt (13 Kb) to your POV-Ray include directory with a suitable name (eg. 50-300mm Zoom.lfx).
The file includes instructions and contact information.
- Truss Include File, by Theran Cochran
- Download TRUSS.ZIP (6 Kb) and extract it to a temporary directory.
This file includes instructions and the source for the spaceship object in the image at left.
- Include File Perl script, by Roland Mas
- Roland has created a very useful Perl script to update any POV files that use include or macro files on a case-sensitive system.
The script will convert all include file names to lowercase, and optionally add a directory prefix (so you can place the include files into separate directories without having to add all the directories to your POV-Ray library path).
Save the script (2.5 Kb) with a suitable name (eg. modify-pov-files.pl).
The file includes instructions and contact information.
