Eriol-kun is introduced to Sakura's class as a transferee student from England. When he enters the room, he looks straight at Sakura and only her (therefore recieving THE Death Glare from Syaoran).
Eriol's character is one of the most unpredictable ones in the whole series. As you watch him, thousands of possibilities come into your head. First: Is he going to fall for Sakura and become Shaoran's rival in love? Next: Oh, so he's the new enemy! But you'd still be wrong. There's a lot of guessing to do while watching this guy, especially regarding his true intentions. Eriol is VERY INTELLIGENT. He excels in all his subjects, fluent in Japanese (although he's supposed to be from England, ne?) and is very good in sports. He's great at basketball, swimming, and skiing. He also plays the piano VERY well. He also sews and cooks! Man, this guy is PERFECT....And yes, there IS a reason behind that.
Eriol is also friendly. He always wears a smiling face and gentle black eyes. He also jokes around when Yamazaki-kun starts his stories. Man, they are unstoppable^_^. Eriol is actually very nice. He helps his friends when he can, and he cares very much for Sakura. And, he hates seeing her hurt. (W/N: GAH!
