The Li Clan

CCS Main
They are a rich and powerful clan...Martial artists, users of magic, descendants of Clow Reed. Since Clow is half-Chinese, his mother being one, he lived part of his life in China. That's where the Li clan used to live, but they had moved to China sometime in the middle. They have a sort of royal family, Syaoran being the heir, and a group of Elders. These Elders were the one who sent Syaoran to Japan to retrieve the Clow Cards.

Yelan

I'll get a better pic, just wait!^^

Syaoran's mom! She possesses a great deal of magic, and handles it well with style^^

When Sakura meets her in the first movie, you get the impression that Sakura almost expects people to order her to bow down. Yelan possesses the presence of a queen and is not the sort of woman you would want to trifle with.

She seems impressed by Sakura's ability to control her magic, despite how recently she has come into her power, as well as Sakura's strength of character and will. During the movie, Yelan also seems to express some disappoint in Syaoran. She tells Sakura that he was captured by Madoushi because he wasn't strong enough to fight her. There is a hint of disappointment (and deep concern at the same time) in this statement.

I think Yelan sort of decides that she wants Sakura to get together with Syaoran when they are older. She wants her bloodline to remain strong and Sakura will provide a new influx of power instead of breeding it out to someone without magical ability. But don't think for on second that I'm saying that Yelan wants this JUST of Sakura's power. As I mentioned earlier, Yelan like SAkura's personality and attitude, as well. Personally, I think Yelan rocks!

Fanren, Fuutie, Feimei, Siefa

They're Syaoran's four older sisters, and...they...are...weird. I mean, they're pretty normal for girls their age (I'm guessing they're around the ages of 16-20), but, let me remind you that the Li Clan is not a normal one.

Take Syaoran. He's a rather formal child. He has VERY high respect for Yelan, and he seems uncomfortable (or at least he doesn't act like he usually does in Japan) when she graces us with her presence. Then look at Yelan: the woman has an air of royalty about her. Then, look at the sisters. The moment they laid their eyes on Sakura and Tomoyo wearing Chinese clothing, they go "kawaii~~!" (In Chinese, if I remember correctly), and the same goes when Touya and Yukito made their entrance. They were practically drooling! (Not that any other girl won't, but, y'know what I mean) The contrast...Don't you think it's odd that they're so relaxed and loose when everybody else is almost completely the opposite? But I guess that's what makes them unique^^
