Bring a
smaller bag for everyday use. This bag can be
used to carry your camera, travel guide, journal,
etc.
Save
everything. Don't throw away your ticket stubs or
flyers. These are great to use when decorating
your scrap book when you return.
Keep a
journal. Every night write about the day you just
experienced while it is fresh in your memory.
Your journal will capture things pictures can't.
Don't buy
too many souveniers. It is important to remember
places but you will only have so much room. If
you do buy souveniers for others perhaps buy them
towards the end of your journey.
Keep your
finances organized as you travel. There would be
nothing worse than to run out of money half way
through your trip.
Use plastic
bags to organize your travel bag. I personally
used large zip lock bags to keep my underwear,
socks, tee shirts, toiletries and other things
seperated and organized.
After
packing your bag, remove one third of the items
you packed. You probably overpacked and your bag
will only get heavier when you start to buy
souveniers.
Get into
the culture. Don't be afraid to go to local
restaurants and markets. These places will really
let you experience the culture of what ever city
you are exploring.
Try
everything. This could be your only chance in
Europe so don't let an opportunity pass you buy.
Use a
travel guide. I do not recommend Let's Go Europe,
I heard that Lonely Planet is much more clear and
has better directions. A simple version of Europe
Tour guide is a Yellow Book written in Chinese.
It belongs to my partner. Mr. Gary Low.
Plan your
days in advance. If you just roam around a city,
you are likey to miss something big. Plus, many
museums are open at odd times and this you will
want to know in advance so you don't miss
anything.
