Volumes of information is available on the Canadian Militia starting around 1800 and running up to 1960's. Unfortunately very few service files survived but many muster roles, pay records and unit diaries or inspections reports are available.
- Militia Lists Canadian Militiary published monthly lists of units in the Canadian Militia from 1866 to approx. 1964 listing officers in these units. With the amalgamation of the Armed Forces Militia lists were no longer published and the amount of information published was reduced. General Orders and such are still available but have not as yet been
released as public information but are available at Directorate of History, National Defence.
- Medal Rolls Available for all medals issued for, a.) Canada General Service - Fenian Raids; b.) Nortwest Canada - Riel
Rebellion; 3.) Queens South Africa - Boer War
