The miliciens & régliers du marquis de Montcalm exists since 1998. Previously known as the Corps historique de Kébec, our name change is due to the partnership We have developped with M. Georges Savarin, baron de Marestan at the end of 2001. We are a group of people passionnate by History that got together initially during historical festivities that were held in the Quebec city area. Rapidly, We decided to increase our knowledge in that matter and wanted to live History more than once a year. Ever since, the group have not cessed to gain new members in its ranks. The main goal of the miliciens and réguliers is to have fun by impersonnating a history that is ours. Other goals pursued by the organization are to interest the genenral public in their past and to interest them in the wonderfull hobby that is ours. Members are constantly aware of the groups developments and take a full part in the decisions and orientation. The miliciens and réguliers accepts remunerative contracts but only as a mean of financial survival; never for personnal or collective profit. These contracts usualy help us pay for ransportation, perishables, our usual small expenses and to increase our inventory (various common articles, legal papers, fabric materials...).

The miliciens & réguliers du marquis de Montcalm are empersonnating a wide variety of individuals that lived and influenced New France; voyageurs, soldiers, craftsman, women, merchants... At the moment, the group has its own civilians (voyageurs, militians, women, indians and craftsman), a group of Royal-Rousillon regiment's soldiers (in association with the Fort Jacques-Cartier survival Corporation), and troopers from the Corps de cavalerie. Other projects are also in the air but need more members to mature into reality.
