Prof. Samuel Rong of CFCIE and Dr. John Crossely,
Principal of Renison College, University of Waterloo welcomes students
from SCIC to Canada
Since Canadian Foundation Center for International Education (CFCIE)
and Renison College, University of Waterloo formulated the agreement
to place students from its Sino-Canadian International College (SCIC)
into Renison for their Academic English bridging linkage to degree
study in Waterloo University on June 16, 2002, Mrs. Judi Jewinski,
the Associate Dean and Director of the English Programs at Renison
College, University of Waterloo came to SCIC for an onsite examination
and interview for CFCIE's students in SCIC's location in Nanning,
China.

The staff of CFCIE in China submitted 11 application materials to
Canadian Embassy in Beijing in September of 2002, and 8 students
received
their approved visas to Canada in February of 2003.

Thanks for the CFCIE's personnel
working with students and their parents for the visa document
preparations, thanks for the Dean of SCIC and all administrative
staffs and teachers in SCIC, and thanks for all the 15 Canadian
Teachers teaching in SCIC for the academic year of 2002, without
the supports and dedication from all of you for the international
education programs, our students would not have been such successful.

Up to year 2002, CFCIE has more than 750 students in its cooperation
programs in China including 340 students in 2001; CFCIE has hired
more than 34 Canadian (Native) English Teachers working for its education
programs in China including 14 Native English teachers in 2001, and
16 English Teachers in 2002, and 4 English teacher in 2000.
CFCIE plans to establish more than 10 chain education programs across
China in post-secondary and secondary levels of models having more
than 10,000 students enroll in the near future.
Up to year 2002, CFCIE has formulated the agreements with universities
in Canada, United Kingdom, and Australia
for its students' career advancement in English speaking countries.
