Rejoice Always!

The Roman Road

The following verses can show you God's plan for you. If you already believe then read on for encouragement. If you don't believe please read on and see what God is all about.

Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God."

Romans 5:8 - "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Romans 10:9-10 - "If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord" and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

These four verses spell it out pretty plainly. We are all sinners and have no hope apart from God. He loves us and wants to have a personal relationship with us. God is not a far away concept or something that people dreamed up just because they needed to not feel alone. God instead is a personal and holy God who wants you and I to love Him as much as He loves us. He sent his only son Jesus Christ to live a perfect life and then die as a sacrifice for all of our sins. Jesus took all of the sins that we have or ever will commit on himself to save us from the punishment that we would otherwise deserve. Three days later Jesus rose from the dead and conquered death. The amazing thing is that Jesus would have done this even if you were the only person on earth. Jesus loves you personally and a personal relationship with him as your savior is the only way to Heaven. If you believe this and want to accept Jesus as your savior, pray this prayer with me.

"Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and that nothing I do can save me. I want to be saved and ask you to come into my heart and change me. I accept your free gift of salvation and ask you to show me how to love you and get to know you. Jesus thank you for giving your life for me and being alive today."

If you prayed this prayer and meant it, you are saved. The great thing is this salvation can never be taken from you. You are going to Heaven which means that you will live with Jesus and other Christians in paradise for ever and ever. If you have taken this step please check on the questions and answers page on this site, and also get a Bible to read if you don't already have one. Even if you don't own a Bible you can download a free one at many sites on the web. I would suggest starting with Romans and then moving on after that to the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
