Here you can see the classic G54B bolt pattern, also the shape of the combustion chamber is similar to the 8 valve head. It is about 1/2 the displacement of the 8 valve head also. I measure the stock 8 valves intake and exhaust valves, these are about 156% larger ont he intake, 196% larger on the exhaust. |

Notice there are 2 different styles of the HKS logo on these heads, there were some sort of mold changes early in production. the one with the small letters is #102, the larger is #106 (#2 and #6 of the 12 or so made). you can also see the 2 holes in the front for the timing chain rollers. |

Here you can see the #1 intake port on this head is ported so much you can see straight through to the combustion chamber, the valve has been take out of this port. The other head is not ported like this. the attention to the porting on this head is a fine example of craftmanship. |

Here is a good view of the valve seats. Also notice how cramped the timing area is. These long studs are for holding down the cam carriers, they are forged from square stock but not attached to these heads. The cam rides directly on top of the valves, a "direct acting cam". |

Here is a view of how the one hed is ported while the other is still untouched. I don't think this head was ever used while the dirty one obviously was. You can also see how these heads realy aren't that tall comjpared to the stock heads, they would easilly fit a stock engine bay. |

Here is the Ralliart Naturally Aspirated FIA Race Engine these heads were developed for. 270 bhp, dry sump, developed by HKS, VERY unique, it is # 3 of 12 (serial # is G54B - 103). According to Dave wolin : "The Only One We Know Of Left In The World" This motor also came with Lots of spare parts, including these heads, cams, 2 disc race clutches, manifolds and carbs, etc. |
