| Jonathan Berger's Poetry: Poem of the Day |
| LIVING IT ALL WRONG We're all wrong for each other. You go for skinny guys, and I like busty blondes. You like to hit, and I like to cry. You're into fine wines, while I do shots of wood alcohol. And you're so intolerant of my occasional bouts of blindness. We're all wrong for each other Constantly at odds Taking turns cutting each other down You crushing any hope and opportunity for me (remember how you got me fired from the gun lobby?), and me keeping you at arm's length. We're all wrong for each other We never agree on anything – No, it IS true – We fight over who's right and left And how long it took to admit it And each of us should have quit. We're all wrong for each other Our friends know it And show it Through the poetry they write each night About – oh, god – we're just wrong! We're all wrong for each other And it'd be so right to run So smart, so obvious… But one thing we do have in common: We're both incredibly ignorant. |
