| Jonathan Berger's Poetry: Poem of the Day |
| AMERICAN I am a good American and I do what I want where I want and when. Is it not my God-given right for having parents smart enough to strike these shores? I am a grand American master of my domain lord of what I survey practically a god upon this planet passing all tests my skills are pure and all comparisons pale. I am a great American novel in my approach Gordian knotting my way through difficulties crushing all comers killing the competition. I am a gorgeous American pretty as pretty can be and all the others want to play with me. My privileges leave me better than any other and if you had your druthers you'd be near me. You are jealous of me - but I ignore this, so modest am I. So clean and beautiful, so fresh and just, so good, so grand, so great… I am a gorgeous American. |
