A STORY BECOMES

With every telling a story becomes
more comfortable
more controlled.

Everytime you speak it
the lines become
more familiar
more natural
more perfect.

With every repitition,
your commitment to the chronology
your understanding of the highs
and lows – your understanding of  the Events
becomes more secure.
Its sprawl is hedged.
Its wildness tamed.

With every telling of a story
it becomes more comfortable
more controlled.

Which is why I'll never tell the tale
of you and me.
