RONNIE LEMMONS
Ronnie was born on December 24, 1945. He went to his first Christmas party about two hours after he was born and has the picture to prove it! His home town is Bell Buckle, Tennessee, which is pretty well know for the Webb School, a private boys school and for its arts and crafts people.

He married Carolyn Lemmons on June 16, 1991. Between them, they have four children: Jeff and Terry Floyd and Crystal and James-Michael Lemmons. They have six grandchildren: John and Jim Floyd, Blake and Brandon Floyd, Wyatt and Millie Hall, all of whom are spoiled absolutely rotten!

Ronnie has been in the ministry since he was nineteen years old and has served several churches in the middle Tennessee area. He served as pastor of Wartrace Baptist Church for nearly nine years and most recently served as music director of Calvary Baptist Church, Shelbyville, Tennessee. He is currently doing revivals and supply work. His wife, Carolyn is an excellent musician, playing both piano and organ (not at the same time!).

Ronnie is the founder of the Challengers and is the only original member left. The Challengers have been in existence since about 1987, originally as a  mixed trio and then as a male quartet, where Ronnie sang first tenor. Before that Ronnie sang with a group called "The Pilgrims Quartet," which sang for about seven years in the middle Tennessee, northern Alabama and southern Kentucky area.

Ronnie has always loved to sing and tried to talk the Lord into letting him just lead music. But the Lord saw it differently, and when Ronnie finally surrendered to preach, while a student at Belmont College in Nashville, Tennessee, God then permitted him to do both! Ronnie is not a flashy singer but his singing comes from the heart. Don't miss the opportunity to hear The Challengers at your first opportunity
