NEED 4 SPEED
Two cars-a black Diablo and a dark green La Nina were stopped in the middle of the road next to each other. The last bits of traffic just past by them. Above them was a streetlight that was on red.
The driver of the La Nina, Paul, turned on his radio and the theme from Gone in 60 Seconds was playing. He looked around and saw that a curve was just up ahead and on the side of the road was a railing. On the other side of that was a cliff and beside them were many trees.
The light turned green and the two cars sped forward, going faster and faster, going over the speed limit. The race was on.
The Diablo rammed into the side of Paul’s car, knocking it into the railing just as he was going around the curve, slowing Paul down by a lot.
“Damn it!” Paul swore from inside his car as he floored it and tried to catch up. He saw the Diablo right ahead of him and then saw the car flip up in the air and land upside down.
As Paul zoomed by, he saw a mini-van on it’s side as well.

John, the driver of the Diablo, climbed out and tried to get his car upright.

Paul zoomed down the road and got to a beach. He heard sirens close by and when he turned the corner, he saw three cops heading his way, sirens on.
He immediately slammed on the brakes and turned his car around and floored it again, leaving just as the cops were about to get there.

John finally got his car back up and got in just as the La Nina came zooming back around, going the other way. John also saw three cop cars chasing after him.
As John started to pull out, the last cop hit his car, causing them both to tumble towards the rail. John’s car wasn’t flipping so he slammed on the brakes, but the cop car was flipping so it flipped over the rail and went flying off the cliff.
John drove his Diablo away from the rail and down the road, the right way.

Paul turned his car around again so now he was facing the right way. He slammed on the pedal and went flying down the road. On cop car missed him and turned around once it could, but Paul ran into the second one, causing it to flip a couple times and blowing up once it hit the side of a tree, but John was barley slowed down.
He raced down the road with one cop after him and got to an area that had fences and a couple hills.
Paul turned and went down the side of the hills instead of taking the road. The cop tried to follow, but hit one of the fences and a second later, his engine died, steam coming from it.

Paul got to the road at the bottom of the hill and looked behind to see John right behind him.
John raced and bumped into the back of Paul’s car, making him swerve a little bit, but not enough to slow him down.
John saw a bump in the road and as soon as Paul hit it, Paul became airborne. John did it to and hit Paul’s car in the air, sending it tumbling to the ground below.
Paul’s La Nina landed on it’s side, steam also coming from it’s engine.
John landed safely and continued to race down the road, dodging any traffic that was there.

Paul climbed out of his car and knew there was no way he was going to get going again. “I’m going to loose for sure!” he shouted and punched his car.
Then a red Viper stopped next to him and the driver got out. “What happened?” the driver asked. “You need a ride?”
“What’s the top speed on your car?” Paul asked as the driver got closer.
“400 miles per hour.”
“Good.”  Paul punched the driver, who fell down. Paul then ran and jumped in the Viper, started it up, turned it around, and raced down the road, dodging any other cars.
“Hey!” the driver shouted after him.

John was having problems. As he was racing down the road in his black Diablo, there was a fallen tree and he hit it and flipped over. It took him a while to get his car up right and started up again. Once he did, he moved the fallen tree and started speeding again, but by now, he saw a red Viper race up behind him and saw Paul driving!
“Ahhh!” John shouted, mad at the fact that he didn’t get Paul out of the race.
He saw another regular car ahead of him and saw the Viper catching up. At the last second before he hit the car, he moved and the car hit Paul, slowing him down.
John had looked behind him to see if his plan worked and laughed when he saw that it did. He looked forward and hit the side of a bus, which caused him to slam into the side of a gas station, stopping completely and having to back up and get back onto the road and up to speed again. By this time, Paul had already passed him.

Paul looked behind and saw the Diablo get back on the road. Paul went around a corner and the road went between two high rock walls, with twists and curves all over the place, so it was hard keeping the car under control. A couple times, the car scraped the side, slowing him down a little bit. He looked behind him and saw John was in his view now, so that was a problem.
But he saw that John was also scraping the sides of the walls as well every once in a while.
Paul looked ahead again and saw the end of the two walls, but also saw a drop off.
He slowed right down and John zoomed by. He hit the drop off full speed and flipped a couple times.
Paul made it, but ran into the flipping Diablo, causing them both to crash. In the end, they both landed upright and continued on,  almost side-by-side each other for a while as they zoomed in and out of traffic on the long straight highway.
They both saw the two trees on either side of the road, marking their finish line. Both the cars started to hit each other, and both tried to speed up as they got close. At the last second, the Diablo sped up a tiny bit and beat the Viper by a quarter second.
Both the cars slowed to a stop by the side of the road and the drivers got out, laughing.
“That was great!” Paul said, shaking John’s hand. “But I should go back and give this car back to that guy.”
“I’ll come with you.” John said, getting back inside his car. “Race ya to him!” he said before he closed the door.
“You’re on!” Paul said as he jumped into the Viper. They turned their cars around and zoomed off down the road again.

They slowed down once they got close to where Paul left his car and the driver of the Viper, both cars dented more then they were. They stopped before they got to the crash because there were cops swarming over the location.
Paul got out of the Viper and left it in the middle of the road and went over to John’s Diablo and got in, just as some of the cops saw them. Two cops ran to their cars and climbed in, starting them up.
“Step on it!” Paul shouted. John raced down the road, the cops giving chase.
The Diablo raced, the two cops, fairly far behind. Then, the Diablo came to a fork in the road and choose one of the ways. They race and hit a road block that was blocking a tunnel. They started to back up, when the cops raced down and one shot ahead and also hit the road block, but the other hit the back of the Diablo, knocking it forward a little.
When John and Paul got out of the Diablo to make a run for it, four cops were waiting for them. (Two cops to each car) the cops also had guns pointed at the two drivers.
“You’re under arrest.” One of the cops said.

7 years later…
a man walked down the street, passing by some buildings. This man was Neil. He had a newspaper rolled up in his hands and on the front page, it said how one of the race car drivers from the intro was released from prison the day before.
The other one, John, died while in a prison brake-out.

FLASHBACK:
John is sitting on his bed, while Paul was laying on his. They heard a muffled scream and the prisoners shouting for something.
“What’s going on?” John asked, getting up and walking to their cell door.
“I don’t know.” Paul said, looking at the ceiling.
John looked out into the hall and saw the prisoners in the hall. One came by and unlocked their door and left. John opened it.
“Come on!” John urged. “We can leave!”
“No!” Paul said. “I’m going to serve my years and then leave. I’m not going to try to escape, get caught, and spend even more years here.”
“Come on.” John said. “It’s always been the both of us, or none of us.”
“Well I’m not going.” Paul said, sitting up.
“Fine.” John left, leaving the door opened for in case Paul changed his mind.

John walked out into the hallway and saw a dead guard on the floor. He started moving the same way as the other prisoners, when a siren went off and all the prisoners started running down the halls.
As they were running, they turned a couple corners and then, from in front of them, and behind them, many cops jumped out, guns pointed out.
“Freeze!” they shouted.
John, along with a few others went down a side hall, some cops chasing them.
“We said freeze!” one of them yelled. They fired and one of the prisoners went down.
John still ran with two others, out the two and to the backyard of the prison. Now they still had to climb a fence.
Another shot and another of the prisoners fell down, injured. John and the last prisoner ran and reached the fence.
The other prisoner started to climb, but John looked behind to see how far away the cops were. He saw they were right behind them, so he tried to run, but he heard a shot and saw darkness.

The prisoner was almost at the top and over when he heard the shot. He looked down and saw John fall down, a shot to the back of the head.
“oh god!” the prisoner said. Then he lost his balance on the barbed wire and the wire dug into his leg as he fell over the fence. He landed on the other side and limped into some bushes and was never seen again.

That was 4 years ago. Now the prisoner, Neil, walked towards the home of Paul. He walked by a couple kids playing catch with a football. He smiled as he walked up the steps to Paul’s house and rang the bell.
A minute later, Paul came to the door. “Hello?” Paul asked. “Who are you?”
“I’m Neil Andrews.”
“What do you want?”
“I heard you were one of the best racers around.”
“Yeah, well I stopped that many years ago. I no longer have a license and I don’t want to race any more anyway. Goodbye.”
He tried to close the door, but Neil put his hand in the way, stopping it from closing.
“Just hear me out.”
“You’ve got two minutes.” Paul said.
“Well my brother, Trevor, his hiring his own people for drag racing and other types of racing. He’s hiring the best of the best. So he’s winning all this money. Now if someone was to beat him now, they’d win 7 million dollars. And all the racers also get some of that. That’s what the total is up to now.”
“No. forget it.”
“Wait, I’m not done. He wanted me to challenge him because he’d know that I’d loose and I’d have to owe him 7 million dollars which I don’t have. So I said no, but then he kidnapped my 9 year old son and he’s going to kill him if I don’t challenge him to our little tournament.”
“What’s this tournament called?”
“It’s a secret one that very little people have heard about. It’s called Need For Speed. You race and whoever wins gets how ever much they decided on. Right now, Trevor’s racing at 7 million. Please. I need your help to get my son back.”
Paul looked at him and considered it. “Who’s the other racers on our team?”
“There’s Drew Adams, Jimmy Brown, and I’m going to let you choose 3.”
“3 huh?” Paul thought for a minute. “and we get part of the winning cash money if we win?”
“Yes. Otherwise, we pay it.”
“I don’t have my license anymore because of this type of thing. I spent time because of it.”
“I know. I was the guy that escaped on the break-out that your friend was killed during.”
“I’ll do it.” Paul said, shaking Neil’s hand.

Neil led Paul to his garage where Drew and Jimmy were, fixing up an old Ferrari F50. Jimmy was adding a coat of dark blue paint to it as Drew worked on the engine.
“Guys!” Neil said as he walked in. “This is Paul.”
“We’ve heard of you.” Jimmy said. “You went to jail because of your drag racing.”
Drew walked over and shook Paul’s hand. “It’s an honor to be racing on the same team as you!”
“Well, I’m sure it is.” Paul said. “Now, I need to make some phone calls.”

Ryan was at his house, making lunch, when the phone rang. He put a steaming frying pan in the sink and answered his phone.
“Hello?” a pause. “Hey buddy, what’s up?” another pause. “I’ll be right over.”

Later, at the garage, Ryan was helping Drew and Jimmy with the Ferrari. Suddenly, the doors opened and two other people walked in. Roberta and Joey, brother and sister.
“Nice to see that you guys came.” Paul said.
“Yeah, we decided we could use the cash.” Roberta said.
“If we win.” Joey added on. Ryan walked over.
“Hey guys!” they all hugged for they haven’t seen each other since Paul and John went to jail.
“Who’s riding that?” Joey asked, pointing at the almost finished Ferrari.
“Our good man, Paul.” Neil answered. “Just for him.”
“Thanks.” Paul said. “My car of choice though is the La Nina.”
“We can get one here in two days.” Jimmy said. “Just say what color and we can have it delivered right to our door.”
“Sure.”
“What color?”
“Black with dark blue lines.”
“Oh, fancy.” Jimmy rushed to the door.
Neil informed them, “We’re starting the race this afternoon, so until the la Nina comes, you can use the Ferrari.”
“Ok.” Paul said.
“What about the rest of us?” Ryan asked.
“I’ll bring you to my garage of plenty cars before you race and let you choose a car.”
“Cool.” Roberta said.
“Let’s get this show on the road!” Drew said. Then added, “Literally!”

It’s now 3:30 in the afternoon. Neil, Jimmy, Drew, Paul, Ryan, Roberta, and Joey are all waiting by the outskirts of town. Suddenly, they hear a rumble and 3 monster trucks pulls up.
Trevor got out of one and two of his men, Charles and Dale, got out of the other two.
“So you’re racing?” Trevor asked Neil.
“Yeah.”
“Good. Who’s racing first?”
“I am.” Paul stepped up.
“Fine.” Trevor said, not knowing who he was. “You’ll race Dale.”
Dale hopped back in his monster truck and drove off. Paul and Ryan hopped in Neil’s car and went back to the garage.
“How many races are there?” Joey asked.
“Enough till you’ve all raced at least once and the best ones continue on to the finals and race each other and then eventually it’ll get down to the best two and those will  race and who ever wins, that side gets the money.” Neil explained.
“And you’re going to loose.” Charles snarled.

Half an hour later, Ryan drove back with the car and Paul drove up to the line in the Ferrari.
“All set?” Neil asked, leaning in through the car window.”
“Yep.” Paul said, taking a breath. Neil backed up as Paul put the window up. Then Dale drove up in a Porsche 911 Turbo!
“Where did they get that car?” Ryan asked.
“I don’t know.” Jimmy said. “But I’m changing dealers.”
“On you’re mark!” Trevor shouted out through a megaphone. “Get set!”

Inside the Ferrari, Paul’s foot tightened as he put it in gear and got ready.

Inside the Porsche 911 Turbo, Dale did the same, spat out his window, and rolled his window up.

“Go!” Trevor shouted. Both cars sped away, gaining speed.

They were racing with the Ferrari in the lead for the first bit. They turned a corner and both moved to opposite sides as a couple cars and trucks went the other way. They both quickly moved back to the middle, but Dale rammed the side of Paul’s car, knocking him into the side, slowing him down.
As Paul went around another corner, he saw a forested area and they went onto a trail through the woods, Dale in the lead and still gaining speed.
Paul gritted his teeth as he saw a small dip in the road off to the side with a stone rock in front of it, by  the side of the road. He aimed for the dip, going onto the grass and almost hitting the trees.
He got behind the giant rock and hit the dip, sending him flying into the air and landing in front of Dale, causing Dale to slam on the brakes so he wouldn’t collide.
Paul laugh as he saw Dale almost completely stop, giving Paul an advantage until Dale caught up. Paul knew that moment would come because Dale’s car was much faster then his.
Paul turned a corner and saw the Forrest end and a tunnel up ahead. Just as he got to the tunnel, Dale had caught up and they were riding next to each other, almost scraping the sides of their cars.
As they entered the tunnel, they saw a bus coming their way. There was no room to move to the side so one of them was going to have to slow down.
Paul wasn’t about to do it because he would never catch up again.
Dale wasn’t going to do it because he’s raced many races like this and the other person always moved first.
The bus got closer and so did the two cars. Then at the last second, Paul slammed his car sideways, knocking Dale’s car into the side, almost stopping it, then falling behind as the bus past and sped up. As he past by Dale’s Porsche, he bumped the side again, stopping it from going at that second.
The Ferrari sped onward, leaving the Porsche behind.

At the starting spot, everyone was piling into cars so they could get to the finish and see who wins. (Unlike the game, they do not go around in circles.)

Paul left the tunnel and came to the bottom of a mountain. The road twisted and curved the entire way up, so Paul started the climb, hitting the rail a bunch of times.
He looked in his rear view mirror and saw Dale getting closer, but also sometimes hitting the side, also slowing him down.
Paul looked ahead and jerked his car to the side, narrowly missing a dump truck. The truck honked it’s horn as it drove by.
Paul got to the top and sped down the road, Dale catching up. As soon as Dale was close enough, Paul moved to the side and slammed on his brakes. As he did so, Dale drove by, but at the same time, Paul started turning his car, so the front end hit the side of Dale’s car, causing it to spin uncontrollably and spin off the side of the mountain, crashing on the road far, far below.
Paul started down the other side.

Neil, Ryan, Drew, Jimmy, Roberta, Joey, Trevor, and Charles all waited at the finish line, which was the entrance to a small town.
They heard the sound of an engine and they could faintly see the dark blue Ferrari F50 com into view. As it got closer, it started to slow down. Then once it crossed the finish line, it pulled a 180, facing the people.
Paul opened the door and climbed out as his team cheered.
“Sorry about your partner.” Paul said with a smile. “But he got sick and went back down the mountain.”
Trevor sneered at Paul. “One more race today and then we’ll continue tomorrow.”
“Ok.” Neil said.
Paul started to move to the car when Trevor put his arm out in the way. “Not you this time.” Trevor said. “Everyone goes at least once.”
Then another car pulled up. It was a silver Mercedes SLK 230.
“That’s our other man.” Charles said.
“Ryan.” Paul said. “You’re up.”
“Ok.” He went into the Ferrari F50, but he just backed it up to the side of the road and got out. Then Drew came around the corner driving an orange Chevrolet Corvette. He brought it up next to the Mercedes and got out.
“Thanks.” Ryan said. He got in and started the engine up.
“You can beat him, Jack!” Trevor shouted to his man. Then he raised the loud speaker. “On your marks! Get set! Go!”
The two cars sped off, into the small town.

Ryan saw a fenced area with trees behind it in the middle of the road. He saw Jack take the left road, so he took the right.
The fenced area finished and the two roads met. Ryan and Jack came out at the same time and slammed each other, knocking each other away, then coming back and doing it again. This time, when they knocked each other away, Ryan crashed into the side of a building!
“Damn!” he shouted. He backed his car up and drove it back onto the road and drove again, trying to catch up with Jack.
Jack was laughing in his mind. He raced through the town’s streets and a few minutes later, heard sirens.

Ryan was speeding down the town main street, when he saw Jack’s car go flying in the opposite direction.
“Where’s he going?” Ryan asked. Then he saw three cops go flying after him, one turning around to go for Ryan.
“Crap!” Ryan gritted his teeth as he sped up even faster, his tires leaving a black mark.

Jack turned his car around again so now he was facing the right way and floored it. Once he got up to speed, he saw two cop cars heading for him. Both the cops turned inward to try to stop him, but he just crashed through the cops, damaging the two cars more then his and went to catch up to Ryan.

Ryan jerked as his car was hit from behind. “Damn cop!” Ryan yelled. He noticed it suddenly got darker out and he saw black clouds above him. There was a crack of thunder as rain poured down, making the roads slippery, making it harder to control the car at that speed.
Ryan jerked to the side and slammed on his brakes, causing the cop to shoot ahead. Ryan sped up and rammed the cop from behind, then moving to the side. The cop car jerked forward and slammed into an oncoming car, crashing both, causing a small explosion that the rain will soon put out.
Ryan looked in his mirror and saw Jack and his two cops pulling up the rear. They left the town and were now onto the highway.
Ryan looked to the side and saw that there was another smaller road a little lower. He went over the slant and down the smaller road as Jack and the cops sped ahead.

Jack felt one cop car bump him from behind and the other hit his side. Then he saw a third cop just sitting by itself, not moving, it’s sirens on, on the road up ahead.
He didn’t want to hit it with the other cops so close because it would slow him down, so he went to the side and at the last second, saw a piece of metal with spikes sticking out.
“A spike strip!” he screamed. He tried to stop his car and turn it around, but the roads were too slippery, so he went flying over the spike strip, getting his tires blown out and bringing the car to a stop.
All three cops surrounded him. “You’re under arrest.” One of them said, stepping over to Jack.
Jack looked past the cop and saw Ryan go speeding by. One of the other cops started their engine up again and gave chase to Ryan.

The back of Ryan’s car kept slipping back and forth a little bit in the rain, but Ryan still drove. He heard thunder and lightning flashed. Then he saw a blinking red and blue light behind him and when lightning flashed again, he saw it was a cop car!
Ryan looked forward and drove by some trees. He came to an area with stone arches all over the place. He slowed down a little and turned his lights off. He turned his car around and went behind a stone arch just as the cop sped by, missing him.
Ryan waited a few minutes and knew that he had lost the cop. He started his car up again, turned it’s lights on, and drove the right way.

At the finish, everyone was getting soaked, waiting for the racers to get back. They saw a cop car go flying down the road. Then five minutes later, Ryan and his Chevrolet Corvette pulled to a stop by them. He got out and walked to Trevor and Charles.
“Your guy got arrested.” He said with a smile and walked over to his team, who was cheering.
“Good job!” Neil said. “So far we’re winning!” they all got in the cars and went back to the garage to rest for tomorrow was going to be a big day.

At the garage, Drew and Jimmy started repairing the two cars. Jimmy walked over to Paul. “That La Nina should be here tomorrow afternoon.”
“Good. Hopefully I’ll be racing again by then.” Paul said.
“Tomorrow,” Neil was explaining. “Roberta will race first. Then Drew.”

The next morning, Roberta was the first one up, making breakfast for everyone. “Guys! Breakfast!” she called out.
Drew and Jimmy were the first two down, but before they could eat, Neil, Paul, Ryan, and Joey came. “No time.” Neil said. “We’re starting first thing.”

They drove up to their next starting location which was Farmland. Trevor, Charles, and another person, Lucas was already waiting.  Lucas was in his car- Dark green Diablo SV.
Roberta climbed in Paul’s Ferrari F50 and the two people started their engines.
“On you’re marks!” Trevor shouted. Both the cars moved forward an inch so they were both onto of the white line that Trevor put there that morning.
“Get Set! Go!” the two cars shot forward like a couple bats outta hell. The people that were watching, packed up to meet them at the finishing line.

Roberta shot past Lucas, going onto the grass next to the road a little and then back onto the road, leaving a small trail of dust. The road was still a little bit wet from the day before, plus it was still cloudy and drizzly out, but not enough to affect anything majorly.
She looked behind and saw Lucas was slowing down. Roberta looked ahead and saw a truck ram her, sending her spinning off the side of the road and landing upside down.
She got out of her car and saw Lucas speed by her. She had no hope of getting her car back on the road, so as soon as a farm truck came by, she asked for help and once she got in, pushed the driver out the door and raced down the road, not going very fast.

Lucas raced, far ahead of Roberta. He past by a gas station and in the distance, saw a giant satellite and a building next to it.
He past by and as he went around a corner, he hit a fence, tearing it down, but not really slowing down. He continued on.
He past by a couple cars, but not very many.

At the finishing line, everyone waited. Lucas pulled up and crossed the finishing line and going over to Trevor and Charles.
“Where’s Roberta?” Joey asked.
“I don’t know.” Lucas said. She was rammed by a truck or something and I haven’t seen her since.”
“Damn.” Joey cursed.
“Next race.” Trevor said, a smile on his face. Charles got in the Diablo and Drew drove up in a red Pontiac Firebird.
“Go!” Trevor shouted.
“Hey!” Paul said to him. “You didn’t wait till they were ready.”
“My man was ready.” Trevor said, still smiling.

Drew and Charles continued down the farmland. The road slightly bent down and at the bottom was a wooden bridge with a roof.
They went flying over the dip in the road and the Diablo crashed into the roof and fell down, but landing upright, facing the wrong way.
Drew’s Firebird barely missed the roof, and so he didn’t even slow down.
Charles turned his car around and slammed his foot on the gas pedal, shooting forward.

Drew passed by an old gas station that was no longer in use. He zoomed by it, a tumble weed blowing by behind him.
Soon, Charles also zoomed by, hitting the tumbleweed and catching up to Drew.

At the start, everyone was getting ready to meet the racers at the finish. Trevor and Lucas had already left, but Neil and them stayed to see if Roberta showed up.
“Who’s racing next?” Paul asked.
“Joey.”
“What about Jimmy?” Ryan asked.
“I’m not a racer. I’m just here to fix up the cars.” Jimmy answered.
“Are you going to race?” Joey asked Neil.
“No. I don’t race. Trevor might decide to though.”
Just as they were about to leave, a farm truck pulled up and Roberta got out.
“Roberta!” Joey went over and hugged her. They all left to go to the finish.

Drew noticed that the sun was coming out as he put sunglasses on. Charles had just passed him, but Drew bumped into his side, causing him to go into a cornfield, slowing down immensely, and giving Drew the chance to pass him again.
Drew did just that just as Charles left the corn and got back onto the road, dragging dirt and bits of stalks onto the road as well.
Charles sped up a little and bumped the back of Drew’s car, making it harder for Drew to control his car. Drew saw a giant pot hole in the road, but Charles didn’t. Drew moved at the last second, and Charles hit the pothole, slowing down.
Drew looked behind him to see Charles start to catch up. When Drew looked forward, he jerked the car as fast as he could to the right, just missing another car.
Drew breathed a sigh of relief, but soon started worrying when he saw Charles come up from behind and ram into the end of his side, causing him to spin. Drew hit a rock formation, causing him to stop.
Charles went into a rock tunnel, leaving Drew behind. He went around a corner, scraping the side, slowing down, but once he got away, he sped up again.
Charles saw a car in front of him, but it was too late. He hit it, and came to a stop, the other car, flying into the side of the cave.
Charles started to speed up, but saw Drew speed by him. Charles raced to catch up.
They were racing side by side when the left the tunnel and saw a city in the distance.
Before the city, however, was the finishing line.
Charles saw a bus coming on Drew’s side, but off to the side. At the last second, Charles rammed into the side of Drew’s car, causing him to fly over, and the bus hitting him, creating an explosion.

“What was that?” Roberta asked as everyone at the finishing line saw the explosion.
“One of our racers, probily.”  Trevor announced. Then a few minutes later, Charles came to a stop past their white finish line.
“No!” Jimmy shouted.
Charles got out of his car and walked over to Jimmy. “Hey, sorry about your friend.” Then he smiled as he turned away.
“You piece of crap!” Jimmy yelled. He punched Charles in the back of the head, and then kicked him in the back, sending him to the ground.
Lucas rushed over and took out a gun and pointed it at Jimmy.
“No!” Joey pushed Jimmy out of the way as Lucas fired, shooting Joey.
“Joey!” Roberta cried out as she rushed over to his body. Paul, Ryan, and Jimmy went over to Joey’s body as well, just to find him already dead.
“You murderous son of a …” Neil started.
“My man defended himself.” Trevor said.
“The man that was being attacked is collecting himself off the ground.” He pointed to Charles who was getting up slowly. “That guy,” he pointed to Lucas. “just shot one of my men.”
Roberta walked over to Trevor. “Me and you. Last race through the city over there. Just me on you. Winner takes all. Ignore all the other races we had.”
“Fine.” Trevor agreed.
“If we win.” Neil said, “We get the 7 million dollars and I get my son back.”
“And if we win.” Trevor said. “You guys owe us 7 million dollars and we kill your son!”
Trevor reached down, grabbed Neil’s hand, and before Neil could pull away, Trevor shook it.
“Let’s go.” Roberta said.
“No.” Paul stepped up. “You’re not experienced enough. If we loose this, we’ll all be living in the streets and still in debt.” Then he looked at Neil. “And he losses a son. I’ll race.”
“Doesn’t matter to me.” Trevor said.
“Where’s my La Nina?” Paul turned and asked Jimmy.
“On it’s way.” He said, never looking away from the three enemies. “You weren’t suppose to be racing so early. Joey was supposed to be next.”
“Well we don’t have any other cars to race with here. All the others are back at the garage.” Ryan stated.
“So you forfeit?” Trevor asked.
“No.” Paul said.
“You’ve got 15 minutes. After that, you have no choice but to forfeit.”
“If the La Nina’s not here in 15 minutes,” Paul said. “I’m going to take one of your monster trucks.”

15 minutes later.
“It’s not here.” Charles sneered. Trevor left a few moments before, and now was back, driving a black McLaren F1 GTR. He went up to the white line.
“Look!” Jimmy shouted. The black with blue lines La Nina pulled up next to the McLaren and someone got out.
“Here she is.” The person said.
“Ah, Mike.” Jimmy said. “Early today. Good thing to.”
“You guys racing in that city?” He asked.
“Yeah.” Neil answered as Paul hopped in the La Nina.
“It’s been on the news all day that the cops are swarming the city to make sure you guys don’t. Supposedly you guys have caused a lot of trouble.”
Paul looked over at Trevor, who had his window down, listening.
“Do you back out?” Paul asked.
“Never.” Trevor said as he rolled his window up and started his engine. Paul did the same.
“On your marks!” Neil shouted. “Get set! Go!”
The two cars screeched ahead, leaving black marks, speeding towards the city.

At the city, a team of cops was waiting, looking at the approaching cars. The cops were all pointed towards the middle, behind a road block they had just set up.

Paul raced on, a tiny bit behind Trevor. Paul tried to ram into the back side of Trevor’s car, but missed and hit the rail on the side, causing him to slow down.

Trevor laughed as he neared the city. As he looked closer, he saw the roadblock and cops just up ahead at the entrance to the city. He was going to hit the roadblock no matter what. If he slowed down, he’d be caught for sure. So he sped up even faster.
He got to the roadblock and hit it, sending him flipping into the air, over and over.
He landed up right and facing the right way. He continued to drive, the cops hitting each other to turn around to chase him.

Paul got to the roadblock, and slowed down, seeing all the cops were gone. He pushed his way through and continued driving, speeding up.
He drove up a hill, stores on either side, their sign lights on because it was starting to get dark. He weaved in and out of any traffic that he passed by, trying not to hit anyone.
He got to the top and turned a corner, going straight. Then, there, not far ahead of him, were a team of 4 cop cars, chasing Trevor and his McLaren.
The road split off. The main road that Trevor and the cops were taking, went down the hill, but a side road that was blocked off with signs went straight. Paul chose the side road, knocking the signs down as he drove onto it.
Paul watched the main road go down the hill, while he stayed going straight before he knew it, the side road ended and he went flying into the air.
“Ahhhhh!” he screamed as he landed, upright, just ahead of Trevor and the cops.
Ahead of them, was a giant building with lots of really long stairs and on the other side was a grassy field.
The streetlights were on now because it’s now night.
Trevor hit the back of Paul’s car, making him loose control for a second , slowing down.
Paul sped up, but not before two out of the four cops saw him and gave chase.
Paul put on his brakes and turned his car around so fast, the two cops couldn’t stop, one going straight on ahead, slowing down to stop, the other flying up the stairs of the building and crashing through the doors, getting stuck.

Trevor saw this and slowed down a bit. One the cops got next to him and rammed his car to the side, knocking one of the cops into a street light, and turning on it’s side.
The other cop on the other side of Trevor tried to ram up, but Trevor sped up, the cop going flying onto the grass, and crashing into fence.

Paul caught up to Trevor again, still one cop chasing him. As Trevor was going around a corner, Paul bumped the back of his car, sending Trevor into the side of a building, stopping him.
As Paul passed by, so did the cop. Paul came to a tunnel with a bunch of pillars sticking up in the middle. Paul started weaving in between the pillars, trying to loose the cop.
As he weaved once, he hit one of the pillars. Paul backed up and then went again, just as the cop was getting there.
Suddenly, the cop stop chasing him and left him alone. Paul raced on ahead.

Trevor came to the pillared area and saw the cop just staying still. Trevor didn’t want to hit it, so he went to the side, and as he got really close, saw a spike strip!
He turned really hard to the side, just narrowly missing the spike strip. The cop turned around and gave chase.

Paul got to down town and knew he was almost out. He drove straight, stores on both sides of the road.
Suddenly, a car came out of the darkness. Paul hit it, not having enough time to move. Paul spun out of control into the front of a store, taking part of the wall away.
He got away and back on the road just in time to see the car he hit upside down, on fire.
As he started gaining speed, he saw Trevor and a cop coming up behind him.
Trevor caught up and the two cars rode side by side, the cop behind them. They both saw a bus coming and at the last second, both moved further to the side, the bus ramming the cop car, causing it to explode.
The two cars got back to the middle of the road, Trevor a little ahead of Paul. They left Downtown and left the city, going out onto the highway. They couldn’t see the finish line because it was dark, but they did know it was out there.
All of a sudden, Paul saw Trevor’s car explode.
“What the?” as Paul passed by, he saw a dump truck, on it’s side, on fire.

At the finish line, they saw the explosion.
“No!” Ryan shouted. Then Paul’s car came to a stop just passed the finish line. Everyone on his side cheered.
Neil walked over to Charles and Lucas. “You guys owe us 7 million dollars and my son.”
“Forget it!” they shouted as they hopped in their monster trucks and drove off.
“No!” Neil shouted.
Before any one knew it, Ryan got in Paul’s La Nina and raced after them.
“Ryan!” Paul shouted.

Ryan raced down, going faster then the monster trucks. As he got next to the back of one, he pulled out a gun and lowered his window. He fired a shot, denting the side of the truck. He fired again, putting another dent in it.  He fired again, hitting the gas tank, blowing it up.
Ryan moved forward and to the side, next to the other monster truck. It slowed down and pulled over.
Ryan got out of the car, pointing the gun at Charles, the person who got out of the Monster Truck.
“Where’s our money and Neil’s son?”
“The money can be found at Trevor’s house. Neil knows where that is. His son was never really kidnapped. He’s still at that summer camp thing he’s at.
“You’re lying.”
“No, I’m not.”
“Fine. Get out of here. But if you’re lying, we will hunt you down.”
Charles got back in the truck and drove away. Ryan drove back to where the others were and told them.

The next day, Neil told Paul and Ryan where Trevor’s house was and sent them over to look. Jimmy and Roberta stayed at the garage to fix up the La Nina. Neil went to the camp his son was staying at.

Paul and Ryan had found a cheque at Trevor’s house for 7 million dollars. (That was the total Trevor had from winning all the races, each time raising the stakes.)

Neil found out that Charles was right, when he saw his son at the camp.

Roberta and Jimmy got the La Nina fixed up and gave it to Paul for a birthday present.

And as for Charles, well he left town and was never seen again.
