Once upon a time, he loved a boy, with hair the color of blood and eyes like molten gold. Now though, the boy is dead and gone and he’s empty inside. He feels cold, or he would feel cold, but now that dragon is gone, ice can take its place, and so all he feels is nothing. His eyes are ruby chips of ice and as he orders Articuno to attack the opponent’s Dragonite, he knows that he has won.

He doesn’t care who the person is any more.

Afterwards, he slips the silver bracelets on his arms and pulls the cape over his shoulders, and the pendant around his neck shines bloody red as he slips out into the night. No one knows, and on one cares, and finally, he sits next to the simple gravestone in the cemetery and sighs wishing he could turn back time.

            I miss you, Lance…

Angst. *Nods* Go ahead and rant about it. I like angst. And did anyone else possibly think Red was the dead one?
