Father does not expect much of him, Red thinks as he sits on the carpet and draws pretty pictures with his markers, blue pikachus and fluffy clouds and a bright yellow sun competing with a silver moon. It is soft and fluffy and he giggles when he sees Father coming out of the kitchen in his white Kiss the Cook apron with the pink hearts and the big red kiss.
He drinks milk and munches on chocolate cookies frosted with sugar, and decides to do something new. Father looks bemused as he climbs on his lap and kisses him on the cheek.
Father smiles, and pats him on the head, and plays with the stuffed animals for a while, before he leaves to make dinner.
Its nice how Red is turning out, Lance thinks, and he smiles, pleased.
